The apartment was really tastefully decorated. It was very spacious and had good amenities. It was very comfortable and the 2 bathrooms were a big plus. The hosts were very helpful with suggestions and information on the area and tours. We got a bit lost trying to locate the place, the host personally came to direct us to the apartment. We would definitely recommend the place. The apartment was very spacious, clean and modern and was stocked with pretty much everything you might need. The owner who turned up to meet us there when we arrived was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in an apartment on Munkathverárstræti 33 which was set back from the water on a quiet street which was perfect for our one night stop off.

Dog sledding with them was fun, seeing the Northern Lights in a small informal group was a bonus and the little cafe they recommended with vegetarian and vegan gluten free food (Kaffir Ilmur) the icing on the cake. Excellent accommodations and value. Perfect location in town and only steps to downtown. Staff superb and ready to assist with apt needs or recommendations. Value for the money. Recommend without reservations to friends & family. Owner was super friendly as he offered to pick us up from the airport. Convenient as the tour bus stopped right in front of the apartment. Many more + points for people to explore. Will book this apartment again if were to go back:). The apartment was very comfortable and the staff was exceptional. They went out of their way to get us into the apartment well before check-in time. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone traveling to Akureyri. Our self-catering apartment was ideal for our family of adults doing a road trip. We could cook our meals, relax in a good space, sleep in comfortable beds, and do our laundry. It was convenient, well-set up and clean. Lovely well kept double bedroom place with access to hot tub but our offer excluded this which at the price makes no sense. Central location bedrooms good size. The staff was friendly and told us more about the apartment's facilities and visit places of Akureyri. Fast response to solve the problem of WiFi. Everything seemed so nice here that I didnt even know what i dislike. Additional for hot tub is crazy...no views and Akureyri is nice town but good only as a base from which to travel... Long distance to Mgvatu. Everything was really good. But if I have to tell something may be I would like to ask owner to buy a microwave on a kitchen (for these who use it). Not having more time to spend in the region, since so many attractions can be visited on a day trip system from Akureyri. De ligging van het appartement was minder goed. Bij aankomst lag sleutel in sleutelkastje en we hebben tijdens ons verblijf niemand gezien of gesproken van de verhuurorganisatie. There are several apartments, some closer to downtown than others. Ours was farther and required a drive -- this was a mild inconvenience. A bit expensive.
