Clean, modern bedrooms set on the upper floors of a traditional, well-maintained apartment block built around a beautifully restored inner courtyard. Bright & airy rooftop breakfast facilities, offering a good selection of typically local & continental foods and drinks. The fact that there were flats and tenants on the lower floors made our stay more authentic and homely, providing an insight into how some locals live, rather than an anonymous, corporate hotel. Towels were changed & bins emptied on a daily basis - this is also done later in the morning so if you want a sleep in, no-one will disturb you! The hotel was safe and in a perfect location for sight seeing,travel,relaxing and shopping! I have been to Budapest previously and this is probably the best accomodation I have stayed in. I will be going back and I will definetely stay in this hotel. The location is great (very close to Andrassy blvd), all the city sights are reachable on foot. The rooms are OK in size, air conditioning is most welcome in hot days like we had in Budapest. Breakfast is an open buffet, just right to get you going for the day ahead. We would come here again and we recommend it to anyone who wishes to visit the city and isn't looking for Hilton or Marriott conditions. Great location, just a few steps from metro line 3 which is direct to the main square. The internet connection was really good. Breakfast was nice, nothing spectacular but worthy of the 4 euros per person. Staff was really friendly and helpful. There is a staircase other than only the elevator unlike some other reviews mentioned. It has AC unit. This hotel is the best I ever seen in Budapest!!!! It is all great!! We got the room on the roof where you can see the all city and the lovely park in the front. Doubt if you will get a tv in Ireland with a Hungarian channel :-). We only had 2 towels and we saw this practice in other rooms so we assume is the standard procedure, this is not enough. There should be one more for the hands and another one for the feet. The pillows were not super comfortable. the lift was small sometimes we needed to wait long to get it. In our first room the bathroom was nice and modern and the airconditioning worked well. The bathroom had a bad smell though and due to a problem with the drainage system we had to change rooms. In the second room the bathroom was a little dated and we couldn't hang up the shower head. In this room the airconditioning didn't work and the fan was extremely loud. At first we got a dark, hot room with window into internal side of the hotel and with no air conditioner. When we went to lobby to complain we got free upgrade to a better room. The better one was definitely worth the money, but the first one was a really bad one for the price. Internet didn´t work very well at first. There is WIFI connection problem occasionally and the shower water would come out to the floor in the bathroom. The reception is very busy. The main gate asks for a password but we were not informed in advance. Hence, we even could not reach the reception at the first time. tiny lift only holds 3, no tea making in room, will take me kettle next time, like a hot drink when first wake up. The room a bit smaller than expected especially in comparison to the bathroom:). mini bar,, even no glass for water. Breakfast. No hairdrier, although I got one at the reception. The rest is fine. * internet connection was really poor * electricity broke due to rain, so elevator didn't work. stairs didn't go till 4th floor. Made me wonder about fire security. I would like the main entrance of the hotel to be always open in order to avoid misunderstanding. Too hot in the room!. No air conditioning, but in spring or autumn it's not important. Not too much to be honest. It was good value for money with friendly helpful staff. Nothing to complain. Hotel is still in a state of renovation. The room view was toward nothing. No air conditioning in the room. thin curtains enable early morning daylight come in, no suplly of soaps and shampoos. Rooms are very simple, nothing special. bed a little hard. Sometimes noise from the neighboring rooms. They did not give shampoo and there was not hair dryer. I didnt like breakfast at all. no possibility to make it make it dark, no instructions for airco.
