we loved Karma. It was a massive appartment in a beautiful old building. Tamas was there to meet us when we arrived and spent time telling us where to go and what things were in the neighbourhood. The location was perfect with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. all reviews » We loved this apartment set in a bustling busy square... we were greeted by Tomas who was wonderful, it was our first trip to Hungary and he spent loads of time giving us recommendations for great places to go and things to try! The location was fantastic.. just a couple of minutes walk from the Oktogan Metro stop and very close to the main nightlife strip (but not close enough to be bothered by it).. We explored the whole city by foot from the apartment, couldnt have been better!. The apartment was spacious, warm, clean and really lovely. I was impressed with the location, extremely central and everything in walking distance. Most of all it has to be the staff, Tamaz who welcomed us on our arrival and was extremely informative and helpful in providing information. Laura who arranged for transfer to and from the aiport, and the staff in the restaurant who apart from making top class meals were very welcoming and patient. Everything, really. Beautiful, big, clean apartments with excellent location. Free wi-fi (that actually works). Close to public transportation, excellent restaurants, shopping. Staff is very nice and helpful, he gave us lots of info on Budapest, places to see, how to get around. Thank you so much! I wish we could have stayed longer. It's a big appartment with lots of space, located in the city center (Andrassy ut) near to bars and night life and also many city sights. Very strange...Every morning at 6.45 there was a HUGE echoing racket as something (a big bin perhaps??) was bounced down endless stairs!! Woke us without fail every morning... we were more curious than cross but if we'd been there more than a few nights and it had continued it probably would have gotten a bit much!. Beds were just a little uncomfortable for me, a mattress topper would have helped. Although it wouldn't stop me going again. I really can't think of anything negative!. Parking is not far away, but when you are with children, or you have too much stuff it is a little problem. Because apartment is in pedestrian area and you can not park temporarily... But parking please which is nearest is very safe. Stay was not long enough! :). Everything was positive. No parking,no clima. A little noisy so bring ear plugs. nothing. Call the Karma restaurant and notify them when will you arrive, so they can call the manager who will let you into your room. The manager is very nice and helpful, he's just not always there.Nothing. The kitchen could use a little more equipment. The courtyard was a little noisy at night (door slamming and container pulling). They could have included a few more modern domestic appliances about the kitchen and throughout the apartment...like a Toaster, cutting board etc...but these are very small improvements. The cleaning service can be improoved. Bed could have been better... Check-out was ment to be till 11 o clock to the restaurant, which wasn´t open before that time. Poor shower equipment, lack of power in sockets in one room. The beds need an overlay to cover the old spring mattresses other than that all great !. Check-in from 14:00 is a little bit problem, because train from Kosice comes in 9:30. nothing...alll was pleasent. Bed mattresses. Hot/cold water. Very hot in summer could do with fans as a/c unit pumps out cold air by also pumping out hot. The shower took a long time to get hot and occasionally went cold randomly. No ac - huge disappointment. Must have missed that in the description. Did not sleep well. Only mattress coverings on beds. No sheets at all. Found this to be an issue in many places. Not too sanitary - hopefully this changes. Isn't a Hotel. It's an appartement in an old and scary building. All there need to be clean and renovated. The appartment was not really clean. You should go to Karma Restaurant to get the key. No parking around and the garages are expensive. Nobody told us that the reception is in the Karma-restaurant, so we needed to wait for 15 mins until somebody picked us up and led us to the room, which is about 100 meter away from the restaurant Bed was not really comfortable. Shower didn't drain properly and microwave was filthy. Nowhere to sit of an evening - no sofa or casual chairs. The curtains do not keep out light - no adequate - more for design. Shower had to be hand held - no shower holder/hook. The price is too high for what it is. This is a flat you can get for around 30 euro per day and we got it for as a bargain for 60. Old furniture, basic beds, hot water that didnt work all the time cause of the boiler. Not all photos you see there is of the flat. Toilet is smaller than a campervan's toilet seriously! No I wouldn't rent it again unless it was half priced or less. Poor maintenance, Unfriendly atmosohere. delapidated look.
