I recommend this apartment to everyone. The best thing about Dorottya was the location. It is right in the center, everything is very close, so you don't have to travel by metro or trams at all. There are grocery shops everywhere near the apartment (the nearest one is like 10 meters away) so you can have fresh breakfast every morning. The facilities in the apartment are great, it has a fridge, microwave, and an electric kettle, tv and a little electric fan. I was satisfied, its a great value fo.
all reviews » The location was perfect: very close so the Chain Bridge and Vaci Utca, yet very quiet, as the flats faced an interior garden. Also, although not very big, the flat - we stayed in flat no1-had all the facilities we needed, including an equipped small kitchen, a double bed and a sofa. Not to mention the fact that it was really clean and quite nicely decorated. I would recommend it to anyone visiting Budapest. It's really central and a great great value for money. George was very friendly and he was taking care of us pretty much, he arranged the taxi to the airport even at night and for very nice price, he explained us how to get where we wanted to and much more.... For this price its a paradise and nothing compares to the location.. Wow and the sight from the balcony... Like in a movie...INCREDIBLE!!! And Budapest as a city is very beautiful, have no words :). The location is excellent. All highlights on walking distance. Nice restaurants on the corner of the street. Wifi in the apartment works perfectly. We used the transfer option from the airport. It was perfectly arranged. On the way back we used public transportation. In a little less than one hour you can go to the airport with metro and bus. (About 560 huf)We stayed in apartment 15. Very silent. The appartment was very clean, The staff was friendly and the location was perfect. The appartment was very well arranged and the decoration was very nice. We felt very comfortable. I can absolutely recommend this appartment, especially for young people who want to go out and go shopping: the appartment is very central and you can reach almost every "important destination" by walking. The location is perfect, just in the middle of the Budapest city but in a quite area, only neighbor to the best Goulash restaurant in Budapest. We love the experience to live in the old building of Budapest, but at the same time feel new because of the new interior in the apt. George welcomed us very friendly and helpful, our family love the apt. There was a bit of a problem with the key to the apartment in the beginning but George sorted it. George seems like a very decent guy to me and I absolutely trusted him. He allowed me to store my luggage in the apartment until I left and trusted me for the key until then. We stayed in apartment 5... The location was wonderful could get to the main metro station in a short walk and to some of the main sights within a 3 to 4 min walk... Had a full kitchen and everything you could possible need.. They even arranged transport to the airport for us... Would stay again. Great location - center, the main sightseeing places are very close, shopping area, restaurants and few metro stations. The app itself is clean, simple design in new style, looks neat and comfortable. Flat manager is a nice person, helped with a taxi from airoport for much cheaper price. Location was great,nice small local pubs and cafe around, 24 hour shop just few metrs away with local food and wines,sightsiing buses stop just 100 metr from our place...apartment have 2 rooms,but I think maximum 2 people can stay there,couse it quite small... Excellent appartments in the heart of the city centre. The host, George, is very nice, met us even though we arrived at midnight. There is everything you may need in the apartments. Super choice for any kind of a trip to the Budapest. The landlord was as helpful as possible (available on whatsup). The building was an old and not restorated but the flat was decorated with clean furnitures and there were all useful facilities (wifi service, kitchen utensils, etc). George was great. The internet didn't work very well, but I guess that applies to many places in Budapest :). If i had to find something negative. Saturday night some people came home at night and made a lot noise. The flat is a little 'rough around the edges' so don't go expecting 5 stars,but everything worked absolutely fine,and excellent value for money. Nothing. No cooking area available, only small friedge and microvawe to be used. A tiny window in the appartment we stayed, made the flat to have a high rate of humidity. Basically after the shower in the morning for only two persons, once you come back after walking around the city you could feel that and even towels were still not dry - aweful. 50/50. It was unusually hot in Budapest, so a fan for sleeping would have been nice. I understand that there is no AC, but a fan would have helped for when it starts to heat up in the morning. Everything was great,just some constraction works in apartment upper floor start to early,but anyway we spend almost all day out,so it not disturbing us really.... The studio is very poor and The Remot control and the fan was broken. The bathroom is in the same place the kitchen separate for a mirrow door that was broken as well...but for the price that I paid, I don't care....we could sleep well and the heating was ok, for me that's fine!. It could have been a bit cheaper. Everything was fantastic!!. Outside of the apartment, the building was a little run down, but the neighborhood was great. The bathroom is outside of the room, so it's not very practical. It was also extremely hot in Budapest (especially inside the room) and there was no fan and the refrigerator didn't cool things very well. Being pounced on when you entered shops. Instead of being helpful has the opposite effect. There was no airconditioning in the apt. Oktober 6, it was 39 degrees outside during the day and 34 degrees in the night time, so it was unbelievably hot and absolutely uncomfortable in the room, we just couldn't sleep. Narrow lift and no attendant or receptionist to answer queries. Bed without slatted frame. Wifi conection was poor. Couldnt use inside properly. Bed was uncomfortable. Needs to be changed. the bed is too soft. nothing. staircase quite sloppy. Not great luxury but Is excellent value for money. No air conditioning and bathroom outside room not ensuite. I booked 3 rooms but un fortunetly not in the same building.
