The staff was excellent! They were very, very good! I cannot say enough good thing's about our experience - it was great all the way around!!!! Thank you so much for a great stay on Lantau Island. The staff were very friendly, the room had excellent views, was clean and comfortable. Excellent location, cant fault it at all.When you arrive there you feel like a heaven really such a nice and quite place.

I like the twin rooms with a door between 2 adjacent rooms. it was perfect for our needs and our quick visit to HK.Easy to get to from the airport. location on beach front. close to ferry terminal and bus stops. large room. affordable. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a lovely position. great room. nice restaurant and bar, free internet, beautiful view. The location was excellent and ideally situated.hotel staff are very friendly. because of rennovations I ws upgraded to the new wing ... the rooms are very clean beds are good/firm and comfortable. All facilities in rooms and for the hotel are good. The staff are helpful. I have stayed @ your hotel many times over the past 20 years it is without doubt the best in terms of location. It is in a lovely location right on the beach with pedestrian access only which makes it very quiet. it is a 30 or 50 minute ferry ride from Hong Kong Island - but it is an interesting ride. A great place to stay if you don't want to be in the constant hustle and bustle. situation on the beach for relaxation and quiet, friendliness, breakfast with view, near ferry for great arrival into h k itself. not suitable for people who want to spend their time shopping in h k but ideal for general visit to places of architectural and scenic interest.Absolutely quite (no car, no train, no plane) and yet 30 minutes from busy Central Hong Kong. Check the weather forecast - I was there during a rare typhoon, so the ferries were cancelled and getting to the airport over the mountain in a taxi at 5am was touch. Great location if you want to stay in a quiet part of Hong Kong. Beautiful beach. Only 30 minutes by fast ferry to the city. I didn't realise that there was no lift - not sure that this was mentioned on the website or not. Also, although it was not a problem, it might be useful for travellers to know that the taxi cannot pull up outside the hotel, that there is a short walk. its more than 9 km from the airport, it cost 150 HKD=approx 20 USD to cab it there, cant open the windows. You will no doubt agree that the hotel needs a little TLC and it appears as though that is indeed happening at the present moment.The building work going on in part of the hotel created a lot of noise during our lunch we had in the hotel, although we got a discount after complaining. There should have been a sign put up outside warning of this noise. The other thing we did not like, was having to pay for our child's breakfast, since the room only had 2 breakfast vouchers, and children do not each very much!. the insects around the pool...very painful bites and thus impossible to relax by pool. Too far from the airport. Taxi rank is 200 m from hotel entrance, don't worry when the cab driver drops you there, Follow his directions and turn left at the prom, entrance is 50 yds.pedestrain access only means that there is a long walk to drag heavy suitcases from the taxi drop off point to the reception.Not much longer than most hotel access points from the MTR. The hotel public areas are a little worn but the rooms are clean and comfortable. We asked for an iron and board which was delivered to the room within 5 minutes. as mentioned by others but not understandable until there, impossible to bring taxi near enough and no lift meant hard dragging of luggage when tired or impossible for disabled people. hotel should have a sysytem for sending help with luggage when people get off taxi.the taxi ride itself is hair-raising as mad speed on mountain roads at night but all safe in the end.The 70hkd charge for a child to have the buffet breakfast was quite high. No wireless, internet was an extra 80HKD. The ferry to Central is 50 min, so you spend 2 hours on a boat every day.Difficulty getting luggage from terminal on arrival. How about complimentary drinking water in the room?. walking distance to the pier and bus station. Noise from renovations. I would have liked information available about things to do (including a list of walks) and places to eat (especially the China Beach Club which we only found by accident. The hotel dinner I had ("Vietnamese") was too salty. Please finish renovation asap. The buffet breakfast. Breakfast can be improved, renovation work not yet finished.Carpeting in staircases and corridors need cleaning or replacement. The hotel itself and some of the rooms are a bit rundown at present. Definitely have a look at your room before you check in. They are doing some work at the back of the hotel and you do not want to be looking out over this.This hotel can no longer be described as deluxe. It needs to be refurbished. Looking tired, some work to the facade of the building was being carried out while we were there. However, our ensuite room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Room serviced daily including change of towels. No complaints about the room itself. The internet connexion vas often poor. Not really apart from the fact that the toilet did not always flush properly because the cistern did not fill up. Also the lack of a lift.These were not sufficient to make me dislike the hotel and I only mention them because you asked me. there should be trolleys available to push luggage from taxi or busstation to hotel. 1. The toilet opposite the gym room was a bit unpleasant. 2. The BBQ charge was high. There is no lift.I prefer the Seaview rooms but they are unavailable. Bar prices are much higher than anywhere else on Lantau. the rooms could do with refurbishment.

The fitness centre is closed until 04 April 2009 due to renovation. The sauna room has been closed until further notice. Renovation of the out walls and roof of the South Wing has been delayed due to bad weather and will continue until further notice. These renovation works will be conducted daily from 09:00 to 18:00.
