Stayed at the hotel for two nights between the 12_14/8/13. Initially I booked two rooms on letsbookhotel.com as we are a family with four children and admittedly the website is extremely misleading. It stated that a child up to the age of 11 in the room is free and the rate I took included breakfast. When I got to the hotel I discovered there is no bed for a child unless you pay extra for one and the breakfast rate does not include the child. However the hotel were very accommodating and the ma.
all reviews » First I give the highest appreciation to the staff who are always helping guests, ranging from bringing my suitcase, redirect me to the check-in that is available, open lifts, explaining directions to points of interest, and find me a cab. As an Indonesian, I love to meet "Budi" who can explain me something in my mother language. Secondly, I booked a superior king room and placed in room number 1006. Room is spacious, overlooking the Leighton street , very clean and well maintained. Thirdly. Staff are very genuine, helpful and friendly. Right from Check-in to my (late) departure on the Shuttle Bus. I didn't want to leave. Fantastic location. I got lost every time I left the Hotel but the area is clean, safe and has everything you could want to access the rest of HK. Also the room was spotlessly clean and so comfortable. I was happy to spend time in my room reading and relaxing. Slept like a baby. Best hotel I've every stayed at. 100% the truth. The Crowne Plaza hotel surprised us positively in many ways. The personnel is very friendly and capable, the hotel facilities are great. But most of all, I lost my watch in the hotel when I left it in the pocket of a bathrobe. Actual distance from the hotel to exit A of Causeway Bay MTR is in walking dsitance. However, from where the train stop to Exit A is a little bit farther than the distance to the hotel itself. So if you want to use the MTR frequently, you should be prepared to walk in a distance. In front of the hotel actually, there is a bus stop and tram stop, but you must truly understand the direction of the destinantion if you want to use that mode of transportation. Nothing. Not much of views from the window as it is surrounded by commercial buildings. Air quality in CB can sometimes be problematic. It is a small hotel without grand facilities and the lifts also tended to be crowded most of the time. - all perfect in my opinion. Petty I know, but the sausages at breakfast were very pale and needed to be browned. A very small point!. Lobby area very cramped/not very welcoming. No major issues. No views over harbour. But if you want a similar hotel with proper harbour views it will cost you probably twice as much. Lobby too small. having to leave. Breakfast was good but it's the same ones during my stay. Pillows were too hard. No covered walkway or link to mtr. When its very hot and raining, it can be quite inconvenient. When we want to take the taxi in the front of the hotel, The taxi needed to make a big circle for going central because it becomes one way just begins from the hotel. Nothing much from inroom dinning and not much resturants to choose from within the hotel. Only 3 lifts to service whole hotel----lengthy waiting at times!!!!. The bath plug I couldnt get it out . If they can have two beds room with wide bed, it would be much better for me as I have a kid with me. Also charge for additional kid breakfast is a little bit expensive. Nothing. nothing. I-net connection was poor in the evening sometimes. Powdered dairy creamer/ bad in room coffee! Use milk pods! I booked the hotel because it had a pool, it was closed on first day for private function. Drink was given to compensate but waiters were bumbling. Many of the front desk staff did not have a good command of English so they could not answer questions well. There was not a Tourism office available in the hotel. the lobby poor iluminated. Rude staff. Room was quite small. Breakfast little poor. locaiton is a bit off from subway. No spa or I house masseuse.
