I have stayed many times at this hotel on route to my holiday home on symi . The staff are always great and always phone taxis at no charge and help out with anything that you need which includes free storage of bags even when your back on Rhodes and are flying that night but not using the hotel .the breakfasts are great great as much as you like and there is a tranquil garden . It is ideally situated for catching the early morning boats to the smaller islands , and the old town is only a few m.
all reviews » It was clean & the location was perfect for us to see & do everything we wanted to in Rhodes. The staff went out of their way to help us. Even when we checked out at 5am in the morning the reception arranged breakfast for us & rang for our taxi'S. We would definitely stay there again. Friendly, very helpful & obliging staff; easy access to Rhodes castle, wharf area, restaurants & shops, all within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. Great location, few minutes walking from bus station, old town, town beach. Breakfast was very good, lots of choices, including fresh veggies and fruit. convenient to town/shops/harbour very friendly staff and excellent breakfast with fresh orange juice!( always a bonus!) great budget hotel!. Location. Nothing really !. Lack of tea & coffee-making facilities in our room. Bathroom was old and not very clean. No shower curtain. all fine!. Budget means budget as the hotel is slightly outdated but if all you need is a comfortable bed and breakfast you don't need more while spending most of the day sightseeing Rodos. Wi-Fi works only occasionally. Cleanliness could be slightly improved. Notthing significant. Door locking mechanism. Took us ages every time to get in !. Noise from across the street. Bar is playing loud music during the night. Parking is almost impossible in near vicinity of the hotel around afternoon and event less that that during the night. - Small, unmaintained rooms (pictures at letsbookhotel.com are misleading) - Stained towels (I took pictures of them) -Uncomfortable and filthy bathroom When I showed the stained towels and want to complain about room, the guy at the reception told me that owner of the hotel will be at reception the next day!!!! Bottom line: Hotel Savoy does not worth it's price. The room/bathroom was dirty, The beds were not made - bottom sheet drawn across the mattress and top sheet left unfolded at bottom of bed - that was it. No hot water in the evening and none in the morning either. The shower was completely open with no shower curtain (yes there is supposed to be one in that kind of shower room). This is the most basic room that I have found and I have stayed in several hotels all around the island. Grumpy night staff Tatty down at heel Mediocre breakfast.
