We have visited Naxos many times and this was our first time staying at the Illion Hotel. This is a family run hotel. The hotel owner was most helpful and courteous and did everything to make our stay the wonderful experience that it was. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean and the sheets and towels were changed daily. There was a beautiful range of natural home prepared foods for breakfast every morning. The hotel is located within 30 seconds walk of the beach and 5 minutes walk of the town. .
all reviews » The hotel room was surprisingly clean and it felt like we were the first ones to stay in the room. All rooms have balconies with a side view of the sea and a front view of a small park. We were provided with clean towels every day and clean sheets every other day. There is a very neat and fully equipped kitchenette on each floor. The breakfast was very good, with various fresh delicacies prepared by the hotel owner. The Ag. Georgios beach is just a few steps away, the city centre is a 5 min. wa. Location, location, location. The beach was virtually on the doorstep, very clean and very well fitted out for seaside holidays. The attention to detail that the owner Sofia has put into the hotel makes the ultimate difference between just okay and absolutely fantastic, we of course rate it as the latter. The breakfast served was fresh, homemade Greek food, the extra effort put into the overall running of the hotel made our stay more than pleasant. Sofia provides a shuttle service to and from t. Amid many other similar hotels, we found the Ilion to be very clean, modern, and comfortable. It has a good variety of rooms at very reasonable prices. Its location is perfect for a beach vacation and for exploring Naxos town. The best feature is Sophia, a very helpful, hard-working, and talented manager who treated us as more than just guests. She picked us up from the port, took care of all our needs, and provided the best breakfasts during our entire trip. We would definitely stay here . Great location, almost on the beach (we didn't measure though if the indication "10 meters" in the brochure is completely correct :-), short walk to restaurants, town center and port. Our room had a large balcony. Excellent value for money. The location is amazing, 15 seconds walk from St. George Beach and 3-5 minutes walk from many great food options. The villa/apartment style living was perfect, and the two separate rooms were a nice bonus. There is a perfectly functional shared kitchenette between 4 apartments, and the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would say we stayed at for us was the best accom in Naxos.Stavlander our host couldn't do enough for us,and is so open and friendly.great breakfast every morning with new baking each day,even dropped us off at bus with a big hug goodbye.Cant fault her hotel,beach over road,and 5 min walk to town.We will be back.A+. Good, roomy if simple accommodation just yards from the fine beach and bars and restaurants of Agios Georgios beach, an easy ten minute walk from the centre of Naxos. The breakfast, including homemade pastries, had to be one of the best I've had. The owner went out of her way to make us us feel welcome. Breakfast was excellent and the room was clean. All facillities you need are walking distance. Will definitely go back and not bother shopping around for any other place!. There is nothing to like, Sofia is a wonderful, very hospitable lady who looks after her guests with the extra personal attention. No negatives. Nothing. None. We we were expecting balcone with ocean view, we only had a glimpse of the sea from in between buildings, it was not ocean front. In the photos the only unrealistic is the one from the balcony with seaview. Bathroom was very small; 'sea view' was minimal from balcony (side on). The stuff could be a little more friendlier and smile a little more. Other than this minor observation everything else was fine and we had no complaints. Nothing. Two single beds pushed together. Beds lacked a bit of comfort - this was only minor.
