  This is the very best hotel! We toured Crete for 11 days and wished we had stayed here for more than 1 night. Everything is great here an - I rarely take the time to write reviews but Megaron was so exceptional that I felt compelled to comment. The service, room, breakfast buffet are extraordinary!   The best about this hotel is its location. It is situated in the city center and the main landmarks- the port, the Archeological museum and the bus stop are easily accessible alike with the main shopping streets. There is a computer with Internet connection near reception that you can use free of charge. The staff are very helpful and, if in doubt... what people say » , you can ask them for directions. If the purpose of your trip is tourism, I would strongly recommend Irini. Overall, excellent value for money. - Convenient location to city sights, port and airport. Parking and breakfast option (good value) are also pluses even though I did not use them for this stay. The price, while on the high side, is ok, considering that accommodation in Heraklion is expensive compared to other places in Crete.
