John and his staff could not do enough for their guests. Everything about the Galatia Villas was a 10+, with beautifully appointed guest rooms and receptiont area. Each guest room had it's own perfectly tended garden. Guests have free computer use and there was a warm welcome at breakfast every day.We felt so at home and can't give high enough praise for John, his staff, and the Galatia Villas.
all reviews » Owner was wonderful. He drove to pick us up when we couldn't find the place. The room was huge for European standards, with full dining table and kitchen. There is a private courtyard in which the owner lights votive candles at night so you can enjoy the evening. Note that it is not a view property and you do have to walk up hill 8-10 minutes to town. Excellent value. I recommend it.We arrived at the hotel in the evening to find Yanni the owner. He was extremely helpful in getting us checked in. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The next morning at breakfast Yanni gave us a map of Santorini and recommended places on the island. Everything he shared with us was accurate. He is extremely helpful if this is your first time to Santorini. What a beautiful hotel. John the owner was fabulous. Breakfast included with a smile was welcome every morning. The attention to detail was its jewel. Candles and lanterns were lit every evening on the terraces. We found this the best place we stayed on our travels through 7 of the Greek islands and would return in an instant. Highly recommended...The hotel is far better than expected. Hospitality of the owner, room setting and the enviroment around gave us a very strong home-like relax feeling. We are well looked after and everything is so attentive. The room was very clean and the breakfast tasty. The owner is very polite and has all the answers you need. He suggested restaurants that were quite cheap. Galatia villas is a really nice place to stay!. Proximity is excellent yet still out of the way from main thoroughfair of Fira. Lovely finished apartment. Extremely friendly staff. Its location is at the bottom of a very steep hill. not suitable if you have difficulty walking. Not so close to downtown fira.Bit far from town centre, especially the roads are with slopes and with the heat in summer bit tiring to go back and forth to hotel from town centre. There was a rooster nearby that was sometimes load in the mornings, butit didn't disturbed us.

Galatia Villas is a traditional building, with courtyards, archways, wrought iron fences & main gate, lots of greenery & vines. Here and there one can see large ceramic pots overflowing with geraniums while colourful bougainvillea climbs right up the first floor and hangs daintily over the balconies.
