Great room very clean AND Tidy good bathroom and facilites. I arrived late so didt=nt go out, however restaurant was closed and i didnt know where i was to go looking for dinner so room service was available - note 20% extra charge on everything so one regular pizza which was huge too big for me and two JDs and one diet coke was 40euro which was excessive. Brekfast fine late check out great friendly staff - overall ok.
all reviews » Location PERFECT, steps from the metro which is very easy to navigate in Athens. Staff SUPER helpful and informative, rooms luxurious. Bear in mind this is a budget hotel, but probably because it is not in the center. But for the value, the hotel was clearly recently renovated and impeccably so. I stayed just one night and it was easy from the ferry and easy to the airport. Lovely hotel, very very comfortable room. Location is perfect, very close to a subway and a couple of stops to the centre, but far from the noise and tourism of the centre. Other reviewers have suggested that the neighbourhood is a worry but I disagree - just a perfectly normal big- city working class area. I would recommend this hotel. The Hotel Athens is truly a boutique hotel with a friendly staff and modern facilities. I stayed 3 times at this hotel on my trip in 3 different apartments and all of them met my expectations perfectly. The location is great, just steps from the subway station. I would definitely go back to stay at this hotel. Very good hotel. We only stayed one night. Staff was friendly clean location is O.K. nothing great. I wouldnt walk alone at night (being a female) but its not that bad. Close to the subway and the bus station from the airport. Dont cab it. Take the bus its way cheaper (2 euros each or something). The facilty was recently refurbished, so everything was practically new. The shower is a huge plus, very relaxing. The location is perfect and within walking distance of many cool places in the city. Taxi rides to Gazi, the nightlife area, are very cheap. Great hotel for solo travelers!. It was a beautiful hotel, the rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. No idea where location was and where township was but again it was late and i would not have gone out alone. if I had to find ONE thing to say, it was that I arrived at 7am after the overnight ferry, and a cappuccino was almost 4 euro. Little pricey and maybe one complimentary coffee for guests could be appreciated. The breakfast was good but espresson or capuccino was extra. Given the extremely reasonable price of our stay this is understandable and only a small annoyance, but it would be so easy to include it and remove the irritant!. We had a problems with our booking and didn't end up getting breakfast which we thought we had booked and even paid for. Slightly small room (bathroom in particular) for 2 adults and 1 child, but that said it was quiet, clean and comfortable enough. Elevator was small but that was OK. Meals, except for breakfast, were not cooked on site. But that wasn't a problem we just had to wait a little longer - gave us time to relax. nothing, we enjoyed our time there. The location was good being so central but being a young solo female traveler I was a bit nervous at night and walking to metro alone. Didn't feel super safe, but it was ok. Initially surrounding area seemed run down, but no problems. Beware taxi drivers! Ask the fare and make sure they keep the meter visible throughout the journey!. The ac was sporadic, making the room hot or cold at different times. Bed was a bit uncomfortable. Nothing. in the evening are is not safe so need to take taxi or metro... Neighbourhood is a bit mixed but we felt safe even walking at night. Room a bit small, bathroom need some more lights. Nothing. everything was really good. Location was not so good. Small TVs Lighting in the bathroom. None to think of. Location can be very dangerous at night, be aware. Room too small. small room. When i asked for an iron they didnt have one, the area was not that safe and a little quiet at night - however station was very close. Break fast was not great as many reviewers had stated, it is just average. It cannot be classified as 4 Star! , May be 2 or 3 at the max. A very quiet part of town. There is not many shops or restaurants close by. When I'm arrived morning of day of checking, they charged me full day!!!!.
