  Excellent location opposite the K-D ferry quay and it is definitely worth paying extra for a room with a river view balcony. Good choice at breakfast. - The staff; they were able to direct us to parking and had a place we could store our bikes. Also the hotel is in the middle of everything in Cochem.

Close proximity to the Nurburgring a bonus but far enough away to be very peaceful with lovely views over rolling countryside. Excellent Spa included in the price.   We liked the authenticity of the Castle. The staff made us feel special. They were well educated on the food, wine, history of the area. Also very accommodating when it came to luggage needs. There was no language barrier, as all staff spoke english. I highly recommend this site as a "special" place to stay - Very friendly staff and always ready t... what people say » o assist. Porter service to get luggage from parking to the castle is great as the person brought the bags to our rooms (tower rooms). Staff checked us in at 12(noon) and very accomodating with an infant.
