The listed city tax (“Kurtaxe” in German) is the maximum per person per night, and may be lower in the off-season. Reception is located in Restaurant Maxim, on the road parallel to the beach promenade. Please enter the address Lottumstrasse 5 when using a satellite navigation system. Guests arriving after 18:00 must contact the hotel in advance.

Information about the area

The Villa Belvedere is located on one of the most beautiful bays on the island of Rügen. There are many shops, restaurants and cafes along the beach promenade, which is 4.5 kilometres long. The famous Binz pier itself is 370 metres long.

The pedestrian zone begins at the pier, which is just 250 metres from the hotel. Here you will fine many fine shops selling amber jewellery as well as stylish boutiques, cafes and restaurants.

You can go hiking nearby – either around the Schmacher See (lake) or in the Granitzer Wald (forest). There is a vast area of moorland in Granitz, to the south-east of Binz.

The hotel is within comfortable walking distance from the Binz intercity railway station, or you can even take public transport from the station.

You are just 200 metres from the Rasender Roland steam railway, offering you a nostalgic perspective of Rügen.

The Villa Belvedere is an ideal base for an activity break or a relaxing holiday here on Rügen.

Some apartments are available in the historic part of the building, and others are located in the neighbouring Haus Salve building. They all feature a well-equipped kitchenette in the living area, which includes an oven, microwave, fridge, coffee machine and toaster. Some of the apartments also boast their own balcony.

Travelling information

The Rügen bridge opened in October 2007, and ensures easy access unto the island. There is also a car ferry between Stahlbrode and Glewitz, where you can join the B96 road. The car ferry service operates between 11 April and 26 October, from 06:00 until around 20:00.

You can get here by car on the A20 motorway and the B96. With GPS, you can input Lottumstraße, and the hotel is just 100 metres away. Otherwise you can follow the blue hotel direction signs. (You can park your car in the hotel’s underground car park at an additional charge, provided you notify the hotel in advance of the make of car you are driving.)

There is an excellent intercity railway connection to Binz station, just a short distance away.

The nearest airports to the hotel are Güttin (25 km), Rostock-Laage (140 km) and Hamburg (300 km).
