very friendly staff working there, we came there about 10:00 AM (before check in time) and our room was ready and they even invited us for free breakfast that day. Every day breakfast was delicios with very fresch bread, meat, different cheese, cereals, coffee.....Room was very spacious and clean with almost new furniture. I would say the best hotel in Dusseldorf for the very resonable price.

Decent breakfast. Ensuite single is rare for price in Europe. Fairly close to Hbf; very close to city transport.Quite easy to find just a few minutes walk from the rail station. The room was quite spacious and clean as was the shower room. Not a great deal immediately arond the hotel itself but 5 mins either direction and you'll bars and food places. The only potential negatve is that the hotel does overlook a railway station so can potentially be noisy if you need to leave the window open. staff was very helpfull, even when i asked for wifi internet acces for my notebook i got it with no charge.Hotel is bit old an dated, but staff and service was best. Even better than 5 start hotel in same city. Friendly staff and close to train station. Spacious room. Staff very friendly (despite not speaking English) and very willing to help. The breakfast was filling. The shower: very, very good! I could stay in there for hours if I had the chance. The room and bed were clean.This is a cheap, basic hotel - but, within that category, is very well provided. A good night's sleep. The staff was really nice and helpful, we even could have our breakfast after 13.00 if we wanted!!. we stayed in triple room and got a two-room apartment of very large size. Convenient for a late arrival. The price on the hotel's website was 5 Euros cheaper per night then through this website. :-( Corridor and staircase need a bit of refurbishment. I was shocked when I entered the hotel and feared for the worse.Several things, but at the price, why complain!. a bit shabby surroundings, do not have the lift. The staircase is in need of decorating. Gives a very bad impression. Thankfully the room was in good order. No elevator, the staircase of the hotel is very rundown, needs renovation. location opposite main railway line make it a bit noisy, especially when windows are open in hot weather - there were limited basic facilities eg a kettle would have been useful. There was no hot water in my room on 4th floor. In the morning they gave me the keys from the room on 2nd floor where I had the shower. Also, hotel is very close to the railways, so it's hard to sleep with opened windows.the room was smeling bad. Smoke in the room. A little noisy, it's behind the station.The beds were very bad. Pillow not comfortable. The room, even we asked for non smoking, was for smokers. It had a very bad smell of cigarettes. Stairs needs to be refurbished, and the coridors need painting. Very old fashioned and not as clean as I would have expected. Bathroom in serious need of modernisation.I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is quite far away from the city center and only one tram can connect you with it. The hotel has no elevator (imagine climbing 3 floors or more with heavy luggage). The room was spacious and "decently" clean; however the furniture was really old and in poor condition. There is no room service (no-one came to take the garbage away). it was not very clean. There was a sign in our room door "Notausgang" (Emergency exit), which didn´t make the stay any more comfortable... And when someone flushed the toilet or opened a faucet upstairs, it felt like a big wave will soon come to water you!!. Room was noisey next to the trainlines/ station. No double glazing. The neighbouring room toilet and doors could be clearly heard through thin walls. Beds uncomfortable. Carpets and bed linen were grubby . Electricity failed on last day . No lifts for 4 floors. Everything section must be improved. The room was clean but neglected.The hotel doesn't have an elevator and the utility spaces wasdirty,especially the stairs. Furthermore, the receptionist doesn'tknow English!. it was dirty noisey + over priced. It was a one star hotel so you can't expect much - but to charge 5 times the standard rack rate during DRUPA exhibition is a bit over the top and definitely not value for money.Everything - being asked for cash. If you like I could send some photos about that terrible room.
