The staff was very helpful and friendly! The location was great - right near the river and the center of town. Off-site parking was available and even the path to the hotel showed the flavor of Cochem. The breakfast was incredible!. We loved our stay at the Hotel-Restaurant Lohspeicher! Ingo and his wife were very helpful with any questions, our room was very nice, and our evening dinner in the Restaurant Lohspeicher was outstanding.
all reviews » Welcoming atmosphere, very clean, perfect food, the owner is a also cook and his brother owns a vineyard in the neighbourhood which could be visited. The owners were extremely friendly, the room was huge, had a lot of nice touches and a great shower, breakfast was wonderful!. Must taste the dishes prepared by Ingo, and the wine by Birgit. Dine at the hotel restaurant is a must. the efficeint way the staff work nothing was too much trouble and the excellent food !. Excellent Location, Great breakfast. Owners very nice and helpful. Location, atmosphere.The street to the hotel is actually a pedestrian only area from 10:00 til 19:00. could use a fan to circulate air in room more.We didn't believe the complaints of street noise when we arrived, given that the Lohspeicher is situated on a pedestrian street. But, alas, they proved accurate. We were awoken each morning just before 8am by loud school groups and an insane amount of bell-ringing from the neighboring church. It was good timing, though, as breakfast followed immediately and it gave us an early start. Very difficult to find a place to park and take belongings into hotel. Hotel should provide suggestions, as some streets are blocked off to cars before 6pm. Also, would have liked a door on the bathroom rather than a curtain.not really except that be prepared to carry your luggage over 2 flights of stairs from market area. Impossible to access by car - difficulties with luggage. Very hot rooftop room - however proprietors provided a fan. Air-conditioning and mini-bar would be nice.
