This is a wonderfully situated apartment almost in the heart of the old
East Berlin, but in a very quiet street just 3 mins away from
Friedrichstrasse Station. There's a lovely little shop just across
the road which is open until late and a bakery a little further along
the street. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and if you have a
Berlin Welcome card (recommended for travel and museum entry)
there's 25% off at the Kartoffelkeller. The owner Andreas is a

Andreas, the owner, was so lovely and welcoming - he made sure we had everything we needed and gave us advice on Berlin & how to get around. He was also really flexible around our arrival times and helped store our luggage on the last day as we had a late flight out. All our queries before the holiday were answered quickly and thoroughly which was a big help. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and the location is fantastic - loads to do in local area and train station 5.
Great location, close to railways, shops and restaurants. We were met at
the unit and received a great briefing about the unit, the district and
the Berlin attractions. Great unit, no microwave oven, but very few
European apartments seemed to have them, we made do. Great for our
family (teenage boy and girl) with separate bedrooms for us and the
children. Would certainly recommend this unit.

Liked everything - the location is perfect, 5min walk from Brandenbourgtor, 2min from Friedrichstrasse; the flat is super clean and comfortable. Had tea/coffee/sugar + all the necessary cutlery/dishes. The owner, Andreas, is super nice.

With six ladies, an extra bathroom would have been good. Although not a problem for us, it would be good if there was the ability to convert the double bed into two single beds.
We were there when it was 36 degrees for several days in a row and it got a bit warm. A fan would have been nice.
Shower needs some repair and usually leaked. Need more towels.
