it was very clean and spaceous and not far from the town center.had central heating so you dont go cold and balcony so you can take in the scenary.there is a digital safe in your room to keep your valuables safe,and the maid does clean bedding and towels every day. Very helpful staff spoke good English. Great choice for breakfast. Close to all modes of public transport. Loved the location and the cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was also lovely.

The food was fresh and plentiful.they didnt supply free tea and coffee facilities in the room unless you paid extra for the appliance,but dont get condemonts,which meant having to go to a supermarket to buy them, also the machine at reception that gives free tea/coffee was out of use every day of our stay. The evening member of staff who was there each night was very rude and unhelpful but all the others were very helpful.lifts slow. It is not a modern design hotel (if that is what you are looking for). Only point I would make is hotel not so easy to find as not directly on Alexanderplatz as suggested , but not a problem after arrival. The seating arrangements for the buffet breakfast. It was quite busy andthe size of the restaurant felt small compared to the size of the hotel.However the food was lovely and plentiful. I wasn't keen on being on the9th floor as I don't like lifts but it didn't cause a problem.No air conditioning and no tea maker i.e. kettle to make tea in room. TV was too small, but then again everything was in German...Internet access costs were high. The pillows are too soft!. The Shower wasn't the best but could be easily fixed. Breakfast is fine but be warned,it's not bacon ,sausage etc but cheese and cold meat.Long wait for lifts. There wasn't any air-con, so we had the window open at night and the traffic noise was loud.The exterior as well as the interior of the hotel gives a dull, worn-out impression. The same goes for the immediate surroundings. On the other hand, this can be considered a bit "retro", too. The sink was too small.A bit far from the center, due to the large scale of Berlin avenues.(not as close as it seems in the maps). not very close to the subway. The hotel is very old, there is a bad smell in the rooms and in the hotel. The location is a little noisy. No U-Bahn close enough (metro station), a bit far from west city sites, Very expensive and weird Wi-Fi internet!!! (13 euro/24 hours but if you use it only 5 mins the whole day, you loose all the rest of the time!!), i cannot comment the staff, its like any hotel in germany.. You are on your own! Get some good city guides and dont wait for answers.Generally, the feeling the East-Germany. The hotel brought back the memory of the Soviet Union and because of my allergy towards the Soviet Union, it was not pleasant. Maybe this is exotic for some other people. In the hotel room there was a kitchen, but no possibility to use it - no plates, cups, pots, falks, spoons etc. Rooms were a bit dated, although comfortable.

After the Alexanderplatz square, turn right into the Mollstrasse when you reach the 2nd big junction. You will see the hotel at the next junction. By public transport: From Tegel Airport, take bus line TXL to the Alexanderplatz square. Ride the tram for 2 stops and descend at Mollstrasse/Otto-Braun-Strasse.
