  I liked the straightforward, informative manner of the couple who were in charge. A good breakfast. A great, central location. We had a room with entrance and bed, with a separate bedroom, as we were travelling with a relative.   I stayed here with my mother who became quite ill during our visit - nothing to do with the hotel! The staff could not have been more responsive in helping us deal with her problems. The hotel really is very well situated for seeing the old town of Vitre - being really in the absolute center and only a few steps away from the... what people say » castle, and other historical areas. Loads of great restaurants within a few steps. I don't want to overstate this as a negative but I found it quit - We have used this hotel before as it is right in the centre of town. It is easy to find and there are a few parking spaces in the street outside. It is convenient for visiting the chateaux and there are lots of bars and restaraunts nearby. The owner is very friendly and speaks English. We had room 205 which overlooks the street. There was some noise at night as there are bars in the street below. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom ok. Breakfast at 8 euros was croissants, pan, jam
