Great location: very close to Petite France (perfect, little area filled with winding cobblestone streets, delightful shops and charming cafes) and the river, yet on a quiet back street. Our room, number 33, was a corner room on the third floor with views in two directions which we loved - roof tops of nifty, old structures and the spire of the beautiful cathedral looming in the background! Walkable from the train station on a nice day; less than a 10 Euro taxi fee on departure when it was rain.
all reviews » This was a fantastic location just the other side of the river from the heart of Strasbourg (several of the best restaurants were nearby) the bells ringing, the breakfasts, the staff were the best! There's a cycle rental nearby which was 15euro for a whole week! We had a fabulous time, and in fact extended our stay a night with no problem. Very efficient, friendly English speaking staff. They were able to accommodate our bicycles in a safe place. Nice rooms, lovely breakfast and the best cup of tea of our whole holiday. This hotel is in a great location, centre of the city but very quiet. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room was spacious, well fitted, as was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable.the hotel was close to Petite France and the city centre. Clean. Lovely area of Strasbourg (close to the vibrant Student quarter and beside the river). Would have been nice if breakfast had been included, or at a minimum a coffeemaker in the room -- we had to pay 8 euros for 2 coffees. In fairness, it was good coffee, and we had gotten a very good rate for the room on letsbookhotel.com! All in all, we were very pleased. The room is a little small and oddly wired (the lights / switches) & configured (e.g. you can't leave the bathroom window open & open the door to leave it!) But there's no serious problems. Wi fi was variable, good in reception and lounge and one part of the building but when we stayed on the other side(room 23) we kept losing the signal. Rooms a bit small. Couldn't make the WiFi work. Lack of dedicated parking spots, employees recommandations (consider walking near the river instead of the traditional boat tour), parking advise (far and expensive). nothing. There is nothing I didn't like. Nothing. Breakfast.
