Excellent hotel, central location-literally 20seconds from metro station (10min from city centre).Good value for money considering its peak season for paris and reservation made 3 weeks before. Staff extremely polite and very helpful. Our flight landed in Paris 8am, we were allowed to check in for the hotel 13pm, no lockers at public transport stations for security reasons, therefore we went to the hotel to drop them. The young gentleman gave us the room from early morning rather than going bac.
all reviews » I had a very nice 3-night stay. The staff is super-friendly and helpful, letting early-arriving guests park their bags well before the official check-in time (wish i'd known that!). Breakfast is good, and the service staff is attentive and generous, refilling coffee, etc. It's located at the southern edge of the city, in Montparnasse, a bit far away from the best-known parts of the city, but the metro is steps away from the hotel, and there's a Carrefours (supermarket) just 5-minutes away by fo. This is a perfect budget hotel for the people who want to visit Paris. The room was small, but very clean and up-to-date. The bathroom, with a shower, was clean and in perfect condition. We stayed in a room that didn't have a a view , but it was quiet and calm. The personnel is very very helpful and willing to help one with any problem, inside the hotel or direction for the place one needs to get in Paris. The hotel is 50 meters away from the metro and from the tram station and you can get any. The hotel is very close to the metro station, less than 50 meters (about 30 seconds walk), the room is very clean, equipped with hair dryer, shampoo, towels, shower gel and a modern lcd. Also exactly the other side of the hotel is a pharmacy that is open 24/7 which was very useful for us. Also the hotel provides a map of Paris and a metro map for free and the staff working at the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Our room was a front room on the main street, which was a very beautiful view. 1. The staff at Terminus Orléans was very friendly and helpful. 2. The room was nice and comfortable. It seemed it had been renovated not long ago. Also the bathroom was nice and not too small. 3. We liked the location a lot, so close to a métro station and very easy to go everywhere. 4. We were glad about the possibility to store our luggage on the day we left before we had to catch the train in the evening. Bathrooms are totally renovated, actually they look like they have never been used before. Such a pleasure ! Also soaps, shampoo and shoe shining wipes are provided, plus lots of towels. Bed is nice and firm, lots of storage room in the closet. Lots of transport options right outside the door: tram, metro, 3 buslines around the corner taking you to the city center. The cleanliness if the hotel is great and comforting. The staff was extremely welcoming and always very helpful and knowledgable, especially as I was a solo-traveller. I would gladly recommend staying at this hotel. I will surely be returning to Terminus Orléans, and show it to friends and family! I also loved being able to see the tip of the Eiffel Tower. Some rooms better than others, we had a street view and walk out balcony. Nice TV, hair dryer, electrical converter, fan, comfortable beds and pillows. Pharmacy, pastry shop, subway restaurant, and grocery store all very close. Just steps to Metro station, and 15 minutes to get downtown. This is a great hotel. We have been here twice now. The location is good, there is a metro station in front of the hotel and you can park around the corner in a parking garage. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. The next time we will go to Paris we will choose this hotel again. Room I was in seems to have been recently refurbished to a high standard. This was my second stay in the hotel. The people were really nice and friendly. They even helped us with the luggage. The rooms are not big but enough for sleeping and showering. We had good luck and got a room in the 7th floor with a view on the eiffel tower. Location is not central but there's a metro station literally 15 meters from the hotel. The room is small and confortable and when we were there it was not hot outside. However I presume it might get quite hot in the room in the summer and one might need air-conditioning or, at least, a fan. The room is very small, but for tourists spending the whole day in the streets of Paris it was very convenient. That the WIFI signal is too weak to work on the 7th floor. I had to schlepp my laptop down to the lobby, whenever I needed to go on line. Also when you are on the 7th floor, you can't help thinking what would happen if there was a fire, as there is no fire escape staircase, only the main staircase which is made of wood. But I suppose it's like this in most Paris budget hotels, so in this respect Terminus d'Orléans may not differ from the standard. I do not mind at all that it is small, but the heat was a little bit unbarable. If there was maybe a fan in the room that would be nice. I do not mind not having air-conditioning!. There is nothing we did not like - just little annoyances. Wifi was weak in the rooms. No sheets on the beds, just a comforter, and without AC, it was rather hot sleeping. Breakfast was inexpensive, however very basic. There didn't appear to be any internal control for the air conditioning, which I found wasn't strong/could enough. I was able to hear some loud voices in adjoining rooms. The wifi didnt work in our room and so we had to sit in the corridor to get reception. At first, I have some problem with the wifi signal, but it became OK later. Some days the internet worked very slowly. That there was no safe but I'm not sure if I can expect it from a 2star hotel. And the bed was a little bit small for 2 people but worked out. Wi-fi signal quite poor (I was in the 7th floor), no good sound isolation. Lift is very small and the old fashioned gate and grill type. I wouldn't use it with young children. A room fan would have helped with 25 deg + night time temps. nothing really--not exactly central but very near the Metro--so close enough. Nothing. I thought the room and especially the bathroom was too small. I found it difficult using the bathroom because of the size of it. Also, the lamps above the beds were in a bad position. we banged our heads on the lamps several times. As others have said a bit noisy due to lifts and people talking loudly in adjoining room early in the morning and late at night. The reception was not friendly. The breakfast was pitiful for the cost. I have discovered it is hard to get a decent breakfast in Paris. The hot cream served with my coffee did help though. The walls were thin, but this is probably typical. I was woken up every morning early by slamming doors and talking in the hall. The room was tiny. Noisy when the windows were open because of the traffic. It would have been nice to have English channels on the tv but really we should learn to speak more French. No full breakfast offering available. Old fashion, elevator did not work on the first Day, smell in the room, voice Isolation. A little noisy at night, very thin walls!. - Breakfast does NOT worth €8. There was nothing we did not like. Very old elevator.
