Staff were extremely welcoming on arrival. When I handed my booking reference in the gentleman checking us in noticed i had blacked out the price and asked if it was a surprise, I advised it was for my husbands birthday and he wished my husband a happy birthday and asked if he could invite us to the bar for a complimentary cocktail or glass of champagne to celebrate, which was a much appreciated gesture and wonderful start to our trip. We were then shown to our room which we were very impressed.
all reviews » The staff without exception were superb and couldn't do enough to help. We had a three night stay, changing to a different themed room each day. All of the rooms were great and although "compact and bijou" were plenty big enough for our needs. We had a great time in Paris aided in no small part by the knowledge that at the end of each day we would be returning to the Secret. We would recommend without hesitation and will definitely be staying there again. We were greet by Willman who was most gracious and welcoming. We were offered refreshments while our bags were taken to the rooms, which were amazing. Willman then escorted us to our rooms and gave a tour of the hotel amenities. The breakfast was fresh and quite delicious. Everyone was kind and patient with us since we don't speak French. I enjoyed every aspect of the hotel, food, and employees. I booked this as a supprise trip for my fiancé for his birthday and he wasn't dissapointed!! The staff are lovely and the hotel is comfortable and clean. Great location, resturants, bakery's and bars all located very near. Avoid the resturant directly opposite, the staff were exceptionally rude and not welcoming!! Would definitely recommend. The staff was spactacular. Upon arrival we were offered a refreshment and the staff proceeded to give us a very comprehensive map tour of the entire city including the metro, attractions, distances, and travel times in order to orient us. The staff also made our dinner reservations each night and each venue was excellent. This hotel is beautiful, staff are incredibly friendly and its location is perfect to be able to walk to some famous sights or hop on the metro, which is only a couple of minutes' walk away. There's also a gorgeous bakery over the road that sold the most amazing cakes and croissants for a lovely breakfast!. The location of the hotel is perfect near a Metro station (200m) and in a safe area. The manager, Caroline, was amazing. Always friendly and helpful. The changing of rooms during your stay is unique and highly recommended. The facilities are excellent!. Hotel was lovely, with amazing staff and gorgeous theming in each of the rooms - they even offer a choice to change rooms during your stay to experience each theme! Location is good, walking distance down to le Louvre and in easy reach of Metros. SErvice and staff were excellent, always helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were welcomed and comfortable from the first minute and would stay there again happily. The jacuzzi bath in the room was a real favourite point!. staff extremely helpful and friendly. even got a birthday cake with a candle for my wife and they all sang happy birthday in French to her .they even upgraded us 2nd night to best room in hotel. again a lovely gesture . I find the breakfast option too expensive, the area teems with nice joints that offer as much as I could eat for a fraction of the price. Nothing! All great. The bar lacked a bit of atmosphere but the location is great so that doesn't really matter. Nothing really but choice of drinks available at bar. - please keep in mind that the doors to the bathrooms are see-through, so if you are going with a friend or is a couples first trip, might be embarrassing. Had to move rooms x2 - faulty toilet then faulty safe/ no soap in the room. Then by the time we were moved to our last room it took a while to realise the wardrobe had mirror doors missing and the the room was smaller/darker. Isn't it usual to upgrade rather than downgrade when you have been inconvenienced. The finish to the rooms was in some ways good but small rooms for the price. Too expensive-most we have paid in Europe for less quality and quantity!.
