The staff is excellent. They are friendly, competent, and also speak English well for those of us that are not that skilled in French. The location is perfect, and also quiet. The rooms are really comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff; very nice, comfortable, renovated rooms; fantastic neighborhood.The peace and quiet of the hotel yet within walking distance of many restaurants and places of interest.

I would have like to have had 'tea and coffee' facililities in the room. No bar . expensive average breakfast,but plenty of bars all around. quite expensive (compared to hotels in big German cities). Receptionist having long, loud conversations on the telephone while we were trying to relax in the otherwise peaceful foyer. The hotel was a bit pricey even compared with London, for example, accentuated of course by the weak pound against the euro.Price (if staying longer), a bit slow internet (if using it). I wasn't impressed with the pointed phone call at 12.25 pm reminding us of the 1200 checkout, as we were just finishing up packing. (We were downstairs at 1235.) Despite the fact that we weren't able to check in when we arrived (1h early) because the room wasn't prepared as ordered! We got a better room as a result, but greater care and discretion was to be expected in managing a late check out. location is ok, but perhaps more central would have served my needs better. Also the red-light district by Moulin Rouge is a little seedy late at night. Very odd bathroom - wc was so small you endangered your kneecaps usingthe toilet. One of the desk staff (late night) acted as though everyquestion was a personal inconvenience to him; not very friendly.Far too expensive for what you get - great shame.
