The staff were very welcoming and helpful on arrival at the hotel and all the way through our stay. We stayed in a Junior Suite which was very spacious and clean. The small kitchen is more than adequate for preparing light snacks. Although we didn't use it there was also a dishwasher and microwave to use if required. Pool area is lovely and location of hotel is good. Would definitely stay again!!.

The 'fully eqie kitchen' was not quite that. No sharp knife no cooking utensils and no kettle. But we didv have a corkscrew so all was not lost!. expensive drinks. car park very tight. A bit of a walk from Old town but the hotel was worth it...and we had small kids and the distance was fine...close to the Promenade.Roomservice menu a bit restricted. 1) The room cleaning lady was ignoring "not disturb" sign every day!! What for are those signs if the lady coming into room every morning 10am?! I do not want my towels being changed every day! They are clean enough for several days. Why to wash them and polute the world? :) Same for the soap. Why to replace one which just started and still would be ok for other 3-7 days?. Could find no fault with hotel, staff were friendly, and would definately recommend it to friends. The gym could do with a full refurbishment.No wi-fi in room. Attached kitchen lacked multiple items, eg only 2 small drinking glasses. we missed a minibar in the room. Slightly unfinished and strange design in places. The staff is decidely not gregarious (just formal). They are not themost helpful (despite requests our "King-size" bed was actually 2 twinbeds that I had to zip together myself.) The exterior of the hotel is abit 80's glam (gold finish?) and the lack of draperies in the room (onlysheers!!!) could be a major issue for one who needs complete darkness.Perfect for the independent traveller.expensive parking. erratic opening times for facilities, sometimes not open at all, one very noisy night when a party in the bar. Car Parking expensive at €25 per night and quite literally the most difficult car park I have ever navigated! People who have used it will understand why.......... There should be a kettle, tea and coffe bags at the kitchenette. Tv and the channnels, poor reception and limited channels. cleaning staff for the room could have been a lot better. pool to small. Air condition has to be more powerful. TV french channels only; next door to hotel bar!. the single beds in a suite, meant for two is not good. The breakfast is poor.The rooms need real curtains! The ones in the hotel now are see through and don't block any light. With the lights on the street it was bright in the room all night. The price charged is too high as compared to other hotels in the Area, Even a hotel Holiday Inn nearby is 30 Euro cheaper than this Hotel and Raddison SAS in Nice is just Euro 10 more. No Restaurant or Bar as advertised No mini bar in room.

Situated in the heart of Nice, close to the Promenade des Anglais, the Goldstar offers spaciously appointed suites with a contemporary decoration. Enjoy a touch of the French lifestyle and modernity on a human scale. A spacious lobby with sitting places (coins salons), welcome desks, 24 hour security provided, private garage with 80 car parks and luxury car renting.

On the 7th and last floor, everything has been created for wellness and fitness: Indoor swimming-pool heated all year round with a solarium covering 130 square metres, fitness room with cardio-training equipment, sauna and hammam.

2 meeting rooms, one especially structured for boards of directors, the other an amphitheatre for a capacity of 40 people. Both of them offer high technology equipments: individual high speed Internet access, direct telephone, moving screen and video projector.

Important information to guests

A valid credit card number will be required for pre-authorisation for every reservation. For reservations of 5 nights or more, a deposit in the amount of 50% of total stay will be charged by the hotel at the time of booking. The deposit will be refunded based on the cancellation policies of the property. (see Hotel Policies). For reservations of 5 Suites or more, special group policies will apply and 50% of the total amount of your stay will be requested at the time of reservation. This prepayment deposit is not refundable. Cancellation refunds will be paid 45 days after the cancellation day. Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.
