Excellent location. Close to city centre. Easily reached from the airport via the Rhone Express tram, with only one change, to the metro at Vaulx-en-Velin La Soie, then exit the metro at Ampère station, which is 150 m from the hotel. Also an easy walk (about 10 minutes) from Perrache main railway station. Convenient food shopping at the small Carrefour supermarket just off the Place Ampère, and at the Sunday street market alongside the park just before Perrache station. Studio is very clean. .
all reviews » A nice greeting from the owner: having told her of my arrival time she was looking from the window for a ros-bif with a suitcase (the résidence is not obvious from street level). Spotlessly clean, good wifi (but only one device can be connected at a time), comfy bed, hot water. The résidence is very well placed - 100 m from the métro, lots of cafés and boulangeries nearby, five minutes walk to Bellecourt and to the old town, five minutes to SNCF Gare Perrache. The Abbé Ainay is just round the c. We were half an hour late for our late check in coming from London so it was after 11pm, but Estelle was very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a lovely outlook to trees through the french windows. The kitchen utensils were basic but ok. The apartment was very clean and serviced daily. Excellent location. We are a couple travelling with our 23 year old son who lives in Europe. We all agree we had a lovely relaxing stay. Very spacious apartment, with great location (close to Bellecour Square, Perrache Station and the rivers, subway station, lots of cafés and shops, supermarket, pedestrian areas and many must-see sites). Madame Pascale is very friendly (but it helps to master some french...); no problem with late checkout. It is already possible to pay with credit card. Very conveniently located in the center of Lyon. Basic yet adequate equipment - all you need. Towels are provided as well as a small household starter kit. Daily making of the beds and cleaning included. Very kind and helpful landlords giving the establishment a personal note. The apartment was nice and spacious and in a great location, close to restaurants, public transport and some amazing sites. Nice to have a good bakery 100m away! Apartment owners were friendly and accommodating and even helped us arrive at the apartment using the metro. Nice and tidy room and bathroom. Basic equipment in kitchen available. We liked the blinds that were on the outside of the windows that provided privacy. Excellent location very clean rooms. in the city center. Res. Avy is more like an apartment than a hotel since there are no resident staff, but the manager is often there, or she can be phoned. Hotel is on the first floor, and there is no lift. The kitchen equipment was a little basic - it would have benefited from a chopping board and a coffee maker (and a teapot, but that's an English obsession!). Otherwise there was an adequate supply of crockery and cutlery and pots & pans. A little noisy on weekday mornings - there's a plumbers' depot opposite and they arrive early to load up their vans. It can be a little noisy, sometimes (school nearby, poor insonorization), but this was not really a problem. Bring own soap, shampoo and hairdryer - this is not clearly indicated on reservation websites. Soundproofing of the rooms needs a review. Payments in cash required, no debit or credit cards. The kitchen utensils were far too basic and not really set up for meal preparation (eg no chopping board, 1 very small knife, mini fry pan that couldn't really be used, no wine glasses and world's smallest sponge!). This made fresh market browsing a more limiting experience. Street noise was a bit loud at night at times. No coffee making equipment, so had to start the days with instant coffee... A bit of noice from the street of garbage collecting early mornings, but that's city life; otherwise very peaceful and silent street. The stairs made it difficult to come and go with a stroller, there is no lift and a separate entrance of two doors has to be used for baggage and babies. - The Weather in Lyon was 4 degree during my stay, and I felt cold at the time I return to my room. As the heaters need to be turned on when i am in the room. - Maybe, a presence of an additional winter blanket will be good. We could not lock the door and leave the key anywhere when we checked out at 8.30am. It's an old building, not extremely well insulated. But the street is very quiet so it is not really an annoyance. Not possible to pay with credit card. take some efforts to find parking place.
