The location of the roomy apartment in Viex Lyon. Initially disappointed as it was not one of the 2 described on the Internet site and was not on rue de Boeuf. However it was still near cathedral St Jean and well located.The kitchen and bathroom facilities are very basic but serve the purpose. Frederick Jean helpful with making dinner reservations for us. In Lyon it's a good idea to make reservation for dinner.We had a terrific dinner at Les Andrets but could get in only one of the 2 night's of.
all reviews » We stayed in the double bedroom with small kitchenette, first floor, window at the court yard. Amazing how silent the room was! Very beautifull decorations/art. Every time i looked around in the room, i discovered something new. Very good shower. Very good restaurant recommandations of Frederic Jean. I would really recommend this one!. Artelit was easy to get to, we used the Metro. It is within walking distance to many popular tourist destinations. Although Jean was not available to let us in, he did arrange to have someone meet us with the key. Plenty of room, very unique and ecletic decor. Would have liked to stay longer. The host, Frederic, was charming, welcoming and very helpful. Totally quiet at night. Great art everywhere. 15th century building tasteful remodel. Spacious.Great light and view of ancient courtyard from room. An unexpected treasure full of character and charm. The owner Frederic Jean very helpful, interesting, charming and knowledgeable. A memorable visit to Lyon. We will definately return to Lyon and Artelit. Frederic was a very helpful host. Location is unbeatable. Bathroom was excellent. Paying half the cost upfront at time of booking. The cost of paying with PayPal passed onto us. Parking is difficult as is to be expected in Viex Lyon and costly if you park in parking station. The apartment we had was on the 3rd floor, 6 flights of steep,stone stairs to negoitiate. Web page should indicate that you may be given another apartment to that described. Kind of personal, but the matras was too hard for me. no problem for my husband though. Lots of tours and tourist in courtyard below during day, to see building. Didn't bother us tho since we were out seeing the city. Faultless!. If i am being critical , Wifi only works in the courtyard below not in the room. Didn't spoil my holiday!!. bathroom very small, no internet.
