Situated towards the southern end of the Routes des Vins, it was well-located for touring the very worthwhile and enjoyable Ecomusee d'Alsace, the Routes des Vins, Colmar and Strasbourg. We enjoyed the medieval town of Kientzheim and a quick trip up a nearby - Absolutely wonderful room with a large balcony and garden chairs, table and parasol - lovely to relax on. Nice views from Balcony. Nice village. Lots wine tasting in walking distance. Good for cycling. Very comfortable, beds ggod, great pillows, good quality bathroom. Clean, well decorated, modern and tasteful in the room, but the hotel is an old abby. Best to stay here and eat at Swendi as the abby doesnt offer evening meals unfortunately. You can park by the hotel to unload and then drive a short distance to the public car park near the Gendarmerie. For ten Euros returnable deposit you can borrow a free parking card.
