  The location was perfect - 2 minutes from Ferry but also walking distance to restaurants, town centre and marina to pass the evening nicely before our ferry the next day. Staff were very helpful - they keep a space free outside all the time for dropping off luggage, helpful is storing bulky bikes for us even after we checked out, excellent English... what people say » .   Cherbourg is a quaint historic town. The hotel is on the waterfront with a scenic view. We were able to walk to the hotel from the ferry dock. The staff were very friendly and we stayed in an apartment suite with a kitchen and 3 bedrooms upstairs. Bathroom newly renovated and beautiful. Hotel is conveniently located close to main street where all the restaurants are within walki - This was our second stay at the Hotel Chantereyne and once again we couldn't fault it. The staff are helpful and welcoming and have good knowledge of the area. The beds are comfortable and the rooms spotless. We loved the modern bathroom and the superb shower. Also great location, just 5 minutes from the ferry port and the town. All in all a first class hotel.
