Although not within walking distance to Chamonix the hotel is in its own unique position across from the Bossons Glacier so provides amazing views of that and Mt Blanc and the other mountains. An excellent BBQ is provided and microwave, also all the necessary crockery and cutlery. Plus a dishwasher so you don't need to do the dishes. There is an amazing restaurant close by (Hotel Du Midi) if I remember correctly for the nights you don't want to cook. Parking is not on site but close by. Staff a.
all reviews » The owners were very friendly and provided extensive explanations. This small hotel is totally charming. One of the owners is an interior designer for chalets, and this place could certainly be called a model. There is so much attention to detail, that one always discovers something new to look at. A multi-lingual library is open for perusing, there is a cozy pellet stove, and we certainly loved the hot tub outside with a view on the mountains. We enjoyed the breakfast with fresh crepes an. Excellent accommodation in a new chalet. Comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was a delight - all around the kitchen table with fantastic views of the glaciers! Garden access and a sauna and spa available for use. Great location as very short drive to Chamonix village centre and it is a very attractive village centre! Fabulous fondue restaurant recommended - also enjoyed a mulled wine while gazing up at Mont Blanc pre-dinner. Car parking close by in local residents' car park. Beautiful place, amazing setting, views of the glacier from the jacuzzi, amazing breakfast. No bar so bring wine if you want to enjoy on the lovely balcon/ in garden. Only avoid if you don't like communal space sharing/getting stuck into speaking French/if you are not sociable. It is a lovely and intimate place where you will mingle with other guests. The garden is pleasant for relaxing and has a hard standing area and garage which the owners offered to us for building and storing bikes making it a great place to stay at either end of Tour de Mont Blanc. The staff were really great- helped us a lot- we had to take an early bus and miss breakfast, but they insisted that we eat, and they drove us to Chamonix! The room was nice and the bathroom was too. (we had a private toilet, but I think other rooms had to share) Breakfast was very good. A bed & breakfast shortly outside Chamonix centre. The host were extremely friendly and helpful despite our poor French language skills. The outdoor hot-tub and the breakfast was peak experiences. Make sure you spend enough time in Chamonix to do what the place offers!. Given the owner is an interior designer of sorts, the hotel's decor was unbelievable - extremely charming with great attention to detail. This was a true luxury... and it was all very clean. Definitely above and beyond typical B&B. The house is great and the owner's deal, great. They provided us with full kid for our baby. Highly recommended. The host is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location and view. Everything. Owners. The bottom sheet was terry towelling and very coarse. After some resistance it was changed to a cotton sheet. We had the room with the separate toilet. Unfortunately the toilet was off the common dining/lounge room. A bit embarrassing. Something to keep in mind when booking - and the terry towelling sheet which we use as a mattress cover in Australia. We only had one night available! Definitely need to stay two nights to enjoy the sauna and spa!. Nothing. English is a problem- it was hard to communicate with them. There was no door separating the bedroom from the bathroom- only a curtain. Our room was next to the leaving room, so we were lucky that no one used it- otherwise it would have been a noisy evening. So take that into consideration. Breakfast was rather unoriginal (just basic bread, juice and cereal...). For the price, we could have used a bit more options. The room, as we had to put the crib for the baby, it was a bit small and little room for luggage. The sink also small, with the urinal in another room (having to go through the common room) was a little uncomfortable. n.a. Parking is down the alley in public parking..however, was convenient enough for our needs. No parking place near the pension, just a few free places cca 100 meters. Better to have own transport as bars/eating places are very limited. Chamonix area is generally very expensive. nothing at all. Nothing.
