Single room was small but comfortable, with shower and basin. Toilet was just down the hall. A small lift meant you didn't have to negotiate the stairs with bags. Close to the train station, it allowed me easy access for a late night arrival. About only a 15 minute walk to the historic Carcassonne walled city. Owners did not speak much English but were friendly and very helpful. Close to shops and eateries. Cheap Wi-Fi access. Enjoyed my stay there.
all reviews » This was a very typically French hotel which due to location, welcome and comfort was a joy to stay in. From arrival to departure the Proprietor was a joy and his attempts at encouraging guests to practice their French as he practiced his English was just brilliant. We travel regularly between France and Scotland,don't know when we are due next to travel from Carcassonne to Glasgow but would definitely stay here again. Merci Monsieur Proprietor. The manager and staff were very friendly and most helpful. We were caught up in an emergency evacuation from our previous destination due to floods in the Hautes Pyrenees and the management were willing to waive the cancellation fee when we warned them at short notice that we may have to cancel the first night (in the event, we didn't, and the management kindly left the key out for us to pick up after midnight). The manager was very friendly and helpful. He provided an excellent breakfast every mornng . Th hotel proved good valuefor money .It was in walking distance of the town and the medieval city as well as ocal bars and shops. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good service at breakfast and well kept rooms and bathroom facilities. It was nice to have a bathroom that had been recently modernised. Lovely couple who own this hotel. Super breakfast. When we couldn't get a taxi, the owner drove us to the airport. Wouldn't get that kind of service in many places!!. Excellent location near the train station, buses. Breakfast was a little disappointing, basic range to choose from, but was well presented. nothing!!. Noisy front aspect. The weather!. Unpolite staff and limited breakfast serving sweets only: bread, croissant, jams, nutella and sugary cereals. Small poorly maintained room with outdated furniture, the bathroom was terrible, not clean and mold on the silicone seals of the small shower. Nothing in the room looked at the pictures of the site. Moreover you can hear what happens throughout all the other hotel rooms. We feel cheated and recomend others to look for another hotel. This hotel is not worth to stand on the letsbookhotel.com site.

The hotel is situated a few steps from the Canal de Midi and the SNCF train station. By foot from the hotel guests can reach the medieval city centre in less than 25 minutes. From June to September there is a shuttle service that provides direct access to the city centre. It runs every 30 minutes from 10:00 to 21:00.
