For my business trip, the location was perfect: close enough to the University of Bordeaux II Segalen. It was very easy to get there from the train station by the two trams (C and A) which goes through the old city. The tram stop is very close to the hotel. The free breakfast was very good and the staff friendly. The bedroom and bathroom were OK. I liked the idea of keeping the towels for ecological reasons. The hotel is staffed 24h a day.
all reviews » Overall we really liked our stay here. It's a very simple hotel, but has modern design, is well-maintained and everyone is friendly. Breakfast was great, very complete. The location is quite good, it's in a calm part of the town (at least in August) and within walking distance to the center. The car park was also very convenient and reasonably priced. Having free gummies and water in our room, plus croissants and coffee, was a nice touch!. Nice staff, including at restaurant. Location decent; short walk or tram ride into city. If you are going to be there for several days, consider buying the 7 day tram/bus ticket. Cost is equal to about 10 trips, but it allows you to hop on/off as well as get to the airport. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good, as was dinner in restaurant. Quiet area. This is good, but not much around open at night. Great location just 10 mins walk to center and tram outside the door. Very good breakfast. The room was compact but practical and had a very comfortable bed. The air conditioning was a life saver in the heat wave! Well located hotel an easy walk to the old city. The room was fine and the bed OK (but not quite as comfortable as Ibis Red beds). There was plenty of space in the room. Localization (10 min walk to downtown, possible tram), parking place (7Euro/day), good breakfast for 3 star hotel. The hotel was good with helpful staff and a comfortable bed and blackout curtains. Secure parking. I missed a night table on one side of the double bed. The only downside we recall was there being only 1 elevator, which was quite slow to move between floors. The parking spaces are the tightest I have seen – almost impossible to get into without hitting something if there are cars in adjacent spaces. No free street parking available except on Sundays. The toilet was stained and smelt of urine. There is only one lift – so checking-out took over 30 minutes to get the cases to the car and go to reception etc – a nightmare if you are in a hurry. Shower head attachment not working, made showering difficult. Dining room facility not in operation on a Friday evening; obliged us to go down the road to the other Ibis Hotel. Too many Ibis Hotels in Bordeaux have Centre in their title all very confusing - even for taxis!. Room too hot even with thermostat at minimum. Cleanliness of the toilet in particular very questionable. No room fridge but you get what you pay for I guess!. Was a bit of a distance from city centre, took the tram, which was fairly easy to negotiate, I thought I had booked a hotel beside the train station, guess not :). Nothing, except only one lift which was a bit small. The bathroom is small and you can relax while using it . no dislikes. Location required tram to City Centre. Nothing. Restaurant Closed in evening. the smell in the corridors. the fact that there is only one elevator. the toilet was not clean. you could see it dark under the water level. Restuarant closed at weekends. Reception staff very busy and gave incoreect information. Insuficient staff (long queuing to check in and out/ long waiting to enter to the parking), restaurant opened only for breakfast (closed evening and afternoon). Expected the breakfast to have more choice and whilst there was a kettle and some coffee sachets in reception that all seemed a bit low rent. The location was some way out and the roads are confusing so I would stay more centrally next time. Super basic room, didn't expect toiletries to be a squeeze all in one soap dispenser. Basic breakfast but still breakfast... Probably better options for the sane price... The bedroom was very basic. Elevator, door/ bathroom fittings, wc bassins with yellow marks, old towels. Not possible to have meal at weekend in the hotel, particularly if a latish arrival.. An ordinary Ibis hotel. Not very stylish. Calling this hotel in Bordeaux is a bit of a stretch- be prepared for a hike into town. It appears to mainly be used as a hotel for tour buses, hence use of lobby or lift could be impossible. The restaurant is not open on weekends and there are no nearby restaurants open either. First room our shower was broken, second room power points didn't work. Room was advertised as having bath and shower which was false. The dining menu was limited and the service was very rushed even though we were the only people dining. The key had to be changed 3 times. It was very irritating to get all the way up to our room and then have to go all the way back down to get a new key.
