The house was built in the 15th century so is perfectly rustic. We had the two attic rooms (each had a shower in the room and we shared a hall toilet). the location was good, Giverny is a nice little village that comes alive during the day when the day visitors arrive but in the evening a relaxing place. To get from Vernon train station with luggage take the taxi, which can require a wait as there are only about 3 that we saw. the cafe over the road will order one for you as the taxi stand seemed always empty.
