Budget apartment, convenient for sightseeing - 10-15 min walk to almost all main attractions in Avignon. Central train station and tgv shuttle bus also within 10 min walk - very convenient if you plan to take day trips to other places. Fridge, microwave and hob plus basis cutlery and crockery in the kitchenette. This is a student accommodation so the furnishing is modest but functional. Outside festival time this is a very quite area of town.

Warm (our visit was during cold weather). Comfy bed. Local shops for groceries and meals. If you want service (we didn't) then don't stay here. If you want a comfortable, clean, simple, base for exploring Avignon and its environs for a few days it's secure, convenient and good value. When I arrived in Avignon it was 37degrees! I was going to leave my case for the w/e... the gentleman at the desk (even for a Sunday) was most helpful. Found me a quiet spot so that I could sort out my w/e clothes to take. The apt location is just 5 mins from gare routieres and Avignon Centre. Definitely will recommend and return. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant. This minimum service, apart-hotel is good value for a stay within the Avignon city walls in a relatively quiet area south of the more crowded tourist attraction, but within a 1 km walk. It is hard to get a place during July without booking far in advance, and Les Cordeliers was a welcome find. Good to have space after hotel rooms. Small kitchenette great so you could do self catering or make coffees when desired. Within the old city walls so within walking distance to attractions and station. Secure and safe. The room was not smell good,?the manager has great manner to change room for us. Cheap, self-catering, staff friendly and helpful but not always available, quiet. It was a secure residence, that's all I can say. room is big enough. location is OK. There is no bulongerie nearby. Nearest grocery shop about 5 min walk. No room cleaning during the stay (we've been for 5 nights). Reception is not covered over the weekend and in the evening/ nighttime. Make sure you contact the hotel to arrange for the access card if you arrive outside the reception opening hours. It's not a problem- all cell organised. No complaints. The room could have used a fan in the hot weather. The kitchen is minimalist, and not suitable for cooking a gourmet meal, but the mini- refrig, microwave, and two burner stove were handy. Don't expect the 24/7 staff and service that you would get at a fancy hotel. You will get clean sheets and towels when you check in, but no room service. The staff were very helpful, but had limited hours. No breadboard. Electronic keys were a challenge at times. Flat was clean but the bottom of the shower curtain was very stained. Nothing. Quite satisfied. The small shower cubicle. Turning right from Les Cordeliers the first 200 metres of the walk into town is a bit grim, but things improve in Rue des Lices. the bed was odd - I felt like it was just the spring part without the top mattress...? and, no kidding, that shower is tiny! I had to work out a system to wash my hair without bumping the hot water off. forget shaving your legs...actually kind of liberating. shower small and curtain needed attention. Would be hot in summer. Showering room is too small. Keep touching the curtain when taking shower. All was OK. no air-conditioning, no even fan, too hot to sleep at night, especially on the ground floor, because you can not open the windows during your sleeping. Our room smelt like someone had been smoking in there which made all my clothes stink too. Very few cooking utensils and nothing to wash up with. Shower was mouldy and smelly. A student residence basically but not advertised as such. Advertised as self-catering but you needed to be very resourceful. Kitchenette was not well equipped. 20Euros taxi to tgv station. The studio apartment was very very basic, I would not stay here if you are over 21. I had no choice as my accommodation that I had booked 12 months in advance was cancelled due to renovations. everything is just not too bad and not so good. No air condition, no TV as described, very noisy, definitely not recommend for summer.
