The Hotel is very well situated in a wonderful town. The hotel staff know about their town and were very helpful and always pleasant to us as visitors keen to see and enjoy Avignon. I will have no hestitation in recommending the de l'Horloge to others. The location and the decoration of the room as well as the prices offered. Their is a bar underneath the front of the hotel which plays loud music into the night. It did stop at 1am but this was too late for myself as I needed a long night's sleep after not having much sleep in previous nights. Difficulty in temporarily parking your car outside the hotel to unload your bags before parking at the public underground parking area under the papal palace. Showerhead in bathroom was a little bit ackward (low) and there were no shower curtains.Some might not like the fact that there is no parking space. However the hotel is located right next to a large covered garage conveniently located for the city center and the circular road. The 40% discounted fee is applied automatically at the hotel lobby. They also make every effort to help you load and unload by monitoring the bays at the entrance that are reserved for short-term use. hand shower in bathtub. Rooms very small. Small room; smoke smell even if we asked for a no-smooking room; verysteep stairs and tight corridors.Small bedroom which smelt of previous smoking occupant. too expensive no reception area/bar. The room we were given was tiny, smelled of drains, the air conditioning did not work and the decor was shabby. We moved to a much bigger, unsmelly, better decorated room, at an additional (reduced ) cost of 25 euros per night. small and awkward room. I had to return to the hotel twice and change my clothes twice in a hallway washroom, as my room was not ready for me.

- Head towards Centre Ville and follow the old town walls.
Arrival by car from the A9 motorway:
- Take exit 23 for Remoulins. Follow signs towards Avignon then Centre Ville.
- On the right-hand side you will see the railway station.
- At the traffic lights, turn left, you are now entering the old town via the Porte de la République.
- Go to the end of the rue de la République; you are now opposite the Place de l'Horloge.
