Comparing with other hotels I were (in Spain, Italy, Belgium, Greece, etc.), I could say that it is the best place to sleep couple nights. Green Star has beneficial combination of location, price, comfort, security, rooms condition and cleanness. We also noticed nice organization of parking places. In addition, Green Star is oriented on preservation of the environment and well-appointed for children and disable people. No doubt, we will choose your hotel on next visiting Joensuu. Thanks a lot.
all reviews » Very clean. New fittings and fixtures - everything was brand new. Excellent location in the centre of town. Warm rooms - well heated. Wholesome and healthy breakfast. Quiet Street. Clean sheets and towels - the level of hygiene and cleanliness was impressive. Rooms were large and comfortable, free Wi-Fi connection being a great extra facility, necessary for a business trip. Rooms were also equipped with a kettle and a set of glasses, so one is sure to be able to get a cup of tea/coffee even late at night. Good location, garage parking with direct access to reception and walking distance to all restaurants in the heart of the town. Very budget friendly. Very friendly and helpful staff who immediately found me a room facing the river when I was first was given a room facing the street. The bed was comfortable. The setup of the room was nice. Heating was working very well. It is very conveniently located. The hotel located in the center of the town. In the room exists small fridge and a kettle. We could come in the middle of the night. Hotel is very well situated. It's centrally located. The room was spacious enough for two people. It was warm in the room and everything is brand new. The beds are comfortable.There is a TV set with 12 channels. It would be nice besides breakfast to serve also dinner and supper. For people who come in evening it is suitable to grab some hot and simple food immediately. Very warm room. It took me a couple of days to work out how to regulate the temperature, so it might be a good idea to let guests know or to put up some kind of sign on the wall. The idea of checking in without a reception and no telephone number after office hours can be daunting. It would be a good idea if you had someone on the telephone on standby if there are any problems. Reception hours might be not extremely convenient as they close at 8 p.m., but automatic check-in is also possible, although I had no experience with this one. Poor sound isolation between rooms. Room cold. Televisions in breakfast room. The bed pillows were too small for my liking. There was no sauna facility :) I did not try the breakfast buffet because I was told by co-workers it was not that good. The cleaner staff distribute us twice during our stay. Did not work the TV remote and could not find a channel in Russian. Some later time arrival at the hotel. breakfast is overpriced. Breakfast was minimal. It was rather cold in room. the worst breakfast. breakfast. parking fee - 8euro. breakfast - very poor. One day the room was not cleaned, The towels were the same all the time (three nights stay). We arrived at night, when reception was close. Check-in machine in the lobby was very difficult and losed our reservation code. We were forced to wait for the opening reception in the lobby. 1. We came late at night and couldn't get in because the hotel requires a new type of cards with a chip. Luckily there was a young man who paid with his card and took cash from us. They should have warned us that the automatic check in system accepts only certain cards. 2. There were someone's dirty socks left in the room. 3. There was no tea pot in room 112. It didn't appear after I reported to the reception.
