Sonaisali Island Resort is a fantastic place, my daughter and I spent 7 fantastic nights at the resort for the period 13-20 July 2013.We booked an Ocean Front Spa Bure .We booked in at 9:30 pm on the 1st night and was delighted with the welcome. The bure with its spa and fabulous ocean views was perfect ,The beds were very comfy .Every thing was fresh and clean. With a Great Buffet Breakfast every morning and BBQ lunch, all the meal where amazing and catered to all tastes' and budgets . But.
all reviews » The staff were really friendly. The rooms were wonderful. Very nice view. They do wonderful weddings there as well. The wonderful people and weather lovely grounds and pool. location set up activities price. The staff at the resort like all Fijians were friendly. It was like so many other beachside resorts in terms of the view available. It provided beach activities as well as some land based activities. In all it was an average resort that offered us a bit of down time. The staff were friendly. Room Service. Pool area good however more seating would have been appropriate. The bures were of high quality and outlook was excellent. Swim up bar, Jet ski safari was great, Boat transfer being 24 hours was great, Having taxis there all the time was good, Having spa on deck was nice. We enjoyed how quiet it was even though the Resort was full, It's a very safe place to take a family,. -staff was friendly -bungalows beachfront are pretty good. The place is very beautiful. Staff is very nice!. The friendly, helpful staff. Location, atmosphere, layout. Environment. Staff Pool. The staff were lovely. The swim up bar was great although i would have liked to have seen it open more often than it was. The price was expensive for the location and lack of nice real beach. No kids club room as such all outside activities not wheel chair friendly buffet breakfast pretty average pool bottom area too rough on skin. how long it took to get service. That there was a horse on the island that was very sick! Looked to have lice. The location is a bit out of the way and as a consequence you lack choice and are reliant on the resort offering. The taxi service had a service charge added to it and view stuffed up my return transfer to the airport. The food was fine as were the rooms it was just a bit pricey in terms of what you got in relation to other resorts in Denarau. Isolated from commercial centres. Cost of Taxis to get anywhere. Cost of food/activities were high however due to isolation no alternatives within resort. Lack of variation to menu, particularly lunches. Our stay was 12 days, the menu may be fine if less than 5 days. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, Was pretty expensive, Food was terrible, Shower was broken, dvd player didn't work and only fixed it day before we left, Some staff were rude. We both agreed that the 1 pool was way too small for all the guests which didn't stay clean ( you could see how murky the water was ) the seating around the pool was too limited also, we were walking quite a bit just to swim which is such a shame when you are so hot. This was our fifth trip to Fiji but our first time staying with you other times we have our family or friends with us but i would not book again with you if they were to come with us as we found it very limiting. -the restaurant is a bit expensive -it's 15minutes by car from Nadi Town (not so close). The check in is very low efficiency. It's a bit tired and needs updating a bit. The internet was poor and expensive. Also more info about the storm would have been nice, eg a warning that the rain comes through the louvre walls and floods the room. Plus a working phone would have been handy and a room service menu. Cook/kitchen, maintenance. One Reception staff was not available on the day of checking out. The food was terrible I expected lots of fresh fruit and vegetables/salads and fresh seafood - very little of this was available What was available was poor quality and expensive Due to the location u had to eat at the resort. Still a lot of cleanup to finish after cyclone. We booked the seaview jucuzzi bure. The room was sparse and it seemed a but tired. We had light globes that didnt work, noisy fans, tv remote didnt work. There was water all over the bathroom floor when we arrived. Some of the wooden blinds were broken. Our bure was a bit of a walk to the pool.
