The swimming pool just near the Nile. Nice swimming pools, great breakfast buffet, and the hotel is in a fantastic location adjacent to the Nile.Staff were mostly friendly, facilities were good. Location. Meal prices in the hotel are way too high for Egypt, as is the charge for use of the internet. The internet cafe outside the hotel entrance charges 15 Egyptian pounds per hour compared with the Sheraton's 80 pounds per hour.

Information about the area

Luxor consists of three main areas: the city of Luxor on the east side of the Nile, the town of Karnak (north of Luxor), and Thebes which is on the west side of the Nile. Often called the world’s greatest open-air museum, Luxor has many major historical sites such as the Temple of Luxor which was once the venue of complex liturgical rites. Close by is also Karnak, a monumental complex in which the centre stood the Temple of Amun-Re, the king of gods.
