Marvellous view of the nile. Relaxing atmosphere around the swimming pool and the garden overlooking the nile. Goregeous buffet meals (breakfast and dinner) as well as cordial reception. excellent location, great rooms, helpful staff, great value for money. The charge there was 5 egyptian pounds for a half hour vs. the hotel at 30 pounds. The buffet staff was lacking, when it came to drink service, but the food was very good, with plenty of variety. The room from the side of the roundabout was a bit noisy.The shower kept on changing from cold to hot... the hot food needed to be hot at the table - the staff were very accomodating with regard requests. Beds were incredibly hard and it would be good to have a non-smoking area for the internet. Telephone calls to home were much more expensive than the others hotel we stayed in Egypt. The table tennis table was broken, no playing cards available though these items were mentioned as part of their services. Wish these were taken care of. The hotel had an archaic rule that food from outside the hotel couldn'tbe taken in. Had their restaurants provided food of a higher standardthan I wouldn't have felt compelled to bring in food. We andustand that for the exlucive room have Nile wiev, but we payd 20,-€/day, to have it. In Italian restaurant the whe weiter vas more a clovn then weiter. Ok. he might try to be nice, but he over played.The room was a bit too small for the 3 beds ordered. Mandarin restaurant not enough clean. Internet is very expensive and moreover with insufficient coverage in the room. In general they try very hard to make money on the extra services. the room with single beds and the red carperts and curtains did not suit the style and looked cheap and not very clean. The hotel was rated as 4 star but was definitely on the border of 3 to 2! The staff spoke very basic English and the services generally were very weak. The location was good.

The Italian restaurant, Romance, serves an authentic selection of Mediterranean cuisine. The stylish restaurant creates an intimate ambience and serves an à la carte dinner.

Le Karkadeh Bar is an area in which to relax. It has a huge terrace, where exotic drinks and appetising snacks are served. Drinks and snacks are also served at the Pool Bar.

The Chinese restaurant, The Mandarin, features a set menu as well as à la carte menus. You can choose from soups and salads to sushi, entrees and desserts.
