the room was in perfect condition (except the jacuzzi) and just recently renovated wonderful view and super-clean! reception did a wonderful job! they helped a lot as we got troubles with our next destination. without problems they adjusted our booking as we had to leave earlier. excellent staff and very nice owner! if you go to galapagos puerto ayora is the best location and this hotel is very recommendable.
all reviews » Excellent location accessed via water taxi, adds a bit of fun to getting to your room. Hotel was spotless and all staff super friendly. The restaurant was nice overlooking the bay. We were treated to all sorts of wildlife putting on a show from sea lions, turtles and manta rays whilst eating breakfast and dinner. Best place we've stayed. Great location and breathtaking view.Extremely friendly and helpful staff especially Claudia at the front desk.Nice terrasse on the waterfront and good food.Superb room on the last floor with a view on the ocean and port. The only caveat I have is that an older couple may have some difficulty since the hotel may only be reached by water taxi, and boarding and unboarding is somewhat difficulty. If there was one thing I would change, it was the over all attitude of the wait staff, but that is more of a countrywide feel not specific to the hotel. They are a little, eh, about their job. It almost made me feel badly for ordering. no complaints. seafood in restaurant was ok but not great. Original room too small for a four night stay - Penguin Dinner menu limited so we only dined in once. No information whatsoever, no maps,details of trips etc. Trip to Isabella. Nothing. Did not book for long enough!. A little pricey, but would recommend highly. Rooms were comfortable and clean, but not of the standard one would expect of the price range. Given the remote location, and age of the building, this was understandable. a few bugs in patio and room. Lack of atmosphere.
