The staff was very friendly and helpful. The showers were great with lots of hot water. The room was basic with just 2 beds & lockers but very clean. It was a 10 minute walk to Old Town and the tram stops, farmers market and grocery store were all just round the corner. When you get off the tram turn left and walk along Ilica Ave and then left again at the very first corner (about 250m from tram stop). The hostel is about 250m down on the left side of the street in a little alcove area.
all reviews » A hostel with ideal location - right in the very center of the city. The room was clean and with the basic facilities. The personel was helpful. It is more suitable for younger people or for open-minded mature couples since there is no option for en suite bathroom. However, the location and the amiable atmosphere make the Brit Hostel a place of choice for Zagreb. The staff really made my stay, helped me with tons of things. The rooms are really cozy, especially common room and kitchen. Perfect location: near the center but still peaceful, a grocery store accross the street and a market every morning aswell. Value: incredible. Very welcoming.Staff helpful and informative regarding area and what to visit. Maps and booklets readily availible. Clean, comfortable, well located for exploring city. A farewell gift most kind and unexpected. Great place, good on the pocket. A very warm and friendly welcome in a absolut nice location. We are traveling with two Motorbikes and they show as a safe and comfort place to park our bikes inside. If we are again in Zagreb we will use Brit Hostel again. The hostal is very nice with confortable dorms and very nice bathroom. The staff is super nice and the hostal has garage, excelent for travelers with motorbikes or bicycles. The commodities are exelent!. Putting the duvet cover on the duvet. :). bad wifi in 2nd floor; small breakfast;. Nothing. I wont' have any complaint :). My room was a bit dusty but this was brought to attention of staff who said would look into it. they sounded serious.
