I loved the hotel at once when viewing the pictures on letsbookhotel.com, then I liked it even more when right after receiving the booking confirmation I got a note from the owner of the hotel welcoming me heartily and asking me about the time of my arrival and then closer to my arrival they kept on contacting me and checking if everything was ok and if I needed any help with the transfer or any other tips-this was a truly customer-oriented approach which only proved when we arrived. all reviews » Everything! The staff were so nice, welcoming, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location fo the hostel is incredible, our room overlooked the 'cool' cafe/restaurant/bar street - Tkalciceva yet when the window was closed we heard nothing of the constant hub-bub of people enjoying coffee, beer and a bite to eat throughout the day. The hostel is also only 15 minutes walk from the train station even with our luggage and it was very pleasant to walk from the station to the hostel through par. This apartment has everything a traveller would need. The best location in town. All the famous restaurants, attractions in upper town, lower town , Ban Jelacic square are just 1-2 minutes walk from here. The best part is the interior decoration of the rooms. Amazing! Even in your regular 4 or 5 star hotels as well you get a tacky bed and table and so. But here everything was smashingly beautiful. Extremely comfortable bed and sofa and very large room. Very nice natural light in the room. And. Irena couldn't have been more friendly and helpful -- when she picked us up from the airport, she didn't just bring us to the rooms, but took us on a little tour of Zagreb, pointing out the things we shouldn't miss! She was also very helpful about storing our baggage on our last day in Zagreb, before we flew out of the city. Her communications were also prompt and clear by email ahead of our stay, so everything was very clear. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and stylishly presented. I was on holiday with my sister and adult daughter. Irena and ger mother were very welcoming and exceptionally helpful to us especially when my daughter was ill on the day we should have joined a tour to Plitvice Lakes.Despite being ill herself Irina arranged for us to join a tour the following day. She gave us all the information we needed to get the best out of our stay. Irina and her mother are warm and naturally friendly people who we would recommend without reservation to other travellers. Once you meet Irena the owner all the rest is great. Irena is a charming young woman, full of kindness and a good will to assist you with all your needs. Location is great, the apartment decorated in white and has everything you need. Irena helped us focused in the main interests and assisted us to visit the best restaurants in the city. We also used her services of shuttle from and to the airport and it was great, while she took us all the way she gave us a short tour guide of the city which h. Rumica, Irena & their staff are the most hospitable, friendly people you could ever hope to meet! Irena was most helpful with tips & suggestions, whether it was for sightseeing or eating. The rooms are stylishly decorated with a homely feel, rather than a boring hotel room. The location was perfect for exploring Zagreb - 1 minute walk to the main Square, 5 minutes to the Cathedral, 10 minutes to the train station etc. Bars & restaurants literally outside our window, although we didn. First of all I like the attitude of owner Irena to the guests. She is taking care of us as we are her best friends or relatives. She took us from airport, shows some interesting places while driving to hotel, gave some useful advices about food, shopping etc. , booked a car for us and drove us to the rent a car agency. I have never met such attention to the customer, really. As for another things- the location is pretty nice, in the very centre. Design of rooms is interesting and not ordinary. . This was our last adress in Kroatië and we were so amazed by the helpfulness of Rumica Baranovic, that now (back in the Netherlands) we are still amazed. The appartment is kind of amazing to. You have to walk up a lot of stairs but that you are in an oasis of peacefulness and quietness. But your are really in the middle of the center of Zagreb! You can park your car for 24h in the carparking around the corner for only 6 Euro's a day. If you have to go to Zagreb (and you can walk some stairs) p. The hostess is terrific. She arranged our airport transportation in a much cheaper way compared with taxi from the airport. On our way to the Apartment, she gave us a brief city tour and helpful information. We had only a few hours in Zagreb, and the location of the apartment was in such a good location that we could complete the upper town walk, have a short shopping for chocolate, go back to home, change some warmer clothes, have dinner in a good restaurant near by, then have the lower town . The staff deserves a more than Excellent rating. Irena by email and then Rea in person were the nicest persons we've met in the hotel industry. They tried very hard (and succeeded) to offer a top-notch service that went beyond the apartment rental. They helped me find a hairdresser and secure taxis several times. Being in an apartment makes us feel like at home and the 50m2 one (called Kaptol on their website) is located in the great street Tkalciceva - a perfect location when in Zagreb. What a wonderful place made even more enjoyable by the warmth and friendliness of Rumica and her staff Stanke and Simone. The accommodation is modern and spacious, very well presented and situated in an excellent location just off the main square with wonderful views of the old city. There are some wonderful restaurants within a two minute walk which came recommended by Rumica. Rooms Zagreb 17 are excellent value and we would certainly stay here again. This was an excellent choice! The apartment is very beautiful and had everything we needed. It also has a great location right in the centre of Zagreb. Irena was a wonderful host, incredibly friendly and helpful – she even helped us plan our entire holiday in Croatia by giving us excellent advice on places to visit, where to eat, etc, and drove us to the car-rental station on the last day. We definitely recommend this apartment. actually we didint stay at the hotel we saw in booking photos of hotel. A woman showed us an apartment in A normal building. so we stayed in A house not hotel. but house was very nice, clean and you feel very comfortable as you are at your home. there was no kitchen but it was ok for us. if I go again in zagreb I surely will stay again at this apartment. location was great and parking in from of building to cheap. The pictures need to be updated. 10/10. We arrived to Zagreb for concert of Robbie Williams. The room is located probably on the best spot in Zagreb, right on top of Tkalciceva street. Parking garage is 50 m away, first bar is 5 m away and the main sqare is less than 5 mins away. Staff were extremely helpful and good talk perfect English and German. The hotel was also very clean. Room had tv with paid tv, free Internet and other good facilities. Very good value for money. The four star apartment was spacious and comfortable.Beautifully decorated. We were central to everything and faced Main Street full of bars and restaurants. No street noise as windows double glazed. Irena was very helpful and organized a taxi to airport for us. We wish we could have stayed longer. I could not find the way, so i parked my car 2 blocks away. I went walking to the hotel. Rooms spotlessly clean and artistic flare as towels tied with ribbons 10 out of 10 for my wife and IN. They don't accept credit cards - so keep it in mind. High stairs and no elevator is a bit of a challenge when you carry a heavy suitcase. One of the reception ladies doesn't speak English well. But all these are mere trifles which didn't bother us at all. Irena has several apartments in Zagreb, Ours was located on the fifth floor, so one should decide if he agrees to lift his suitcases, but I must say that Irena assisted us with our luggage all the way up. I must emphasize that next time I will vist zagreb I will come againg to "rooms Zagreb 17" no matter the location of the place the most important is to meet someone like Irena. The bath room was a lithe small but the price and the location, and most of all, the hospitality of the hostess covered it. The only downside is that it is on a 4th floor and there is no lift. This was not much of a problem for us, but it may be for some people. Everything was perfect. We came by car and no parking space included in the rental. Allow an extra for private parking nearby. The only fault was that the fixing that holds the shower head up was broken. Croatian people (and landlords) don't value a stand-under shower as much as the English so make sure you check they have fixed this before you go; otherwise you'll be holding the shower head. Our apartment was at the top of a very old building with lots of stairs. If you don't like stairs, then you could be in trouble as there are 9 flights of them. However, to compensate, Irena arranged for our bags to be taken up when we arrived and she insisted on meeting us the day we were leaving to bring our bags down for us. She even took us to the train station which was very handy. Our stay in Rooms Zagreb 17 was to short !!!. Really haven't got anything bad to say. There were so many stairs And one house is on the thrid floor. They were helping us, but it's still hard to get in coz there are no elevator. you should know that before you go there. There is no elevator within the compounds so if you are mature couple with quite a bit luggage, it might be challenging. Either than that, where accommodation is concerned, Rooms Zagreb 17 is a dream come true. The living room (where I slept with two beds) is a little bit too cold (in the winter time) and no curtains. The room is a little bit far away from the tram station (when I have to carry my backpack and my luggage). We couldn't think of anything we didn't like!. Not much... oh, the slippers in the room. It seems to be a little dirty. Cause it was made of cloth, I think. I'd rather use slippers made of plastic or something. I think that would be more sanitary. Can't find any. Our stay with them is perfect. No complaints. There was nothing I did not like.
