City Gardens is a brilliant place to stay in Zadar. The location is perfect: just a minute's walk from the best spots to view the sunset, as well as the Forum, the market, the bus an ferry stops. Yet, the setting is so peaceful; sitting in the beautiful garden all you will hear is birdsong and the occasional chiming of bells from the nearby Franciscan monastery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at City Garden Apartments. The location
was ideal, the apartment was spotless and very quiet. We received an
email with perfect directions prior to our stay, and Anamarija meet us
with a key when we arrived. The courtyard garden was a lovely spot for a
morning coffee and the apartment was within minutes of anywhere. Unlike
some of the older reviews written in 2011 or 2012 there were no problems
with cleanliness or facilities. We will definitely stay here again.
The owners couldn't have been more helpful and obliging, and the location was central but very quiet. Just about everthing you would need for self-catering was within 5 or 10 minutes walk, including the fish market where you can purchase the freshest of fish. Would recommend this apartment to anyone who self caters and wants an apartment in a quiet but convenient location. If we return to Zadar we will definately stay here.
The host was very helpful and was available during the whole stay. She even had some surprise for us in the freezer (a huge box of ice cream). The location can't be better, the apartment is located in the middle of the old town, however it's very calm. In the nearby you find plenty of nice restaurants, tourist attractions.
The location of this appartment is amazing, and good value for money. We were recommended some great places to eat and things to do by the friendly staff. We asked about hiring out some cycles and the day after they had found us somewhere and popped a leaflet in the door!!!.
The flat is clean, modern and extremely well located! The sea (and the famous sea organ) are seconds and there is cafe conveniently located nearby. We found the owner very friendly and helpful. We visit Zadar regularly and would be more than happy to book this flat again.
Excellent location, right next to the Garden, Organ, Zadar old town, while being calmed at night, perfect for resting. Owner is really nice and helpful, and apartment is big, wonderfully decorated and clean.
Carlo and Ananarija are fantastic. They are there for whatever you need whenever you need. The room was clean and the flat well located. I would stay there again for sure.
A large and comfortable apartment very very near to the Sea Organ. The kitchen was well equipped with utensils for your home cooking. Hosts were nice and responsive.

A funky apartment located in old town and a minute from the sea. Close to bus, ferry - first floor and all easy walking- even has a nice outdoor area.

The geo location was great as it's in the city center close to all shops and also close to the sea.
There is a garden where you can have diner or breakfast.
Design and interier are fantastic. Ergonomic,modern. However, App is located in basement. Celler. If you dont care about ground level.

The only thing we would change would be the bed. 2 single beds were
pushed together but the bed frames kept the distance apart greater then
we'd prefer. But the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable.

The wifi didn't work when we were there. The kitchen is basically equipped, it would be nice with a coffee machine and some more silverware.
It is a flat in a residential building, so there is no reception and you need to contact them whenever you need to meet them in the building (they live really close). Try not to get there late in the night.
The boiler is a little small, so if you plan to take a long hot shower (more than 15 minutes), might be a problem.
Nothing major. Could have done with another set of pillows on the bed and a sea view would have been great.

The owner was not there waiting for us, and the room was not ready even 1hour after checking time. Clam that she thought we would arrive at night without checking with us. Thx her brother showed up and helped us to get in at the end.
Not enough hot water for two people to have a shower one after each other.
The appartment was small, old fashion and not so confortable. The bathroom was so small that you have to put your feets in the shower to go to the toilets... The beds were too soft as well. There was also a really bad smelling in the corridor...
Ac is very poor and temperature never went below 30degC. Smell from other cellers is brrrrrr. If you open the window you can expect some cat to jump in.
