We absolutely loved Villa Carrara.In the heart of the Unesco Trogir old city, you opened your window to look onto the cobblestreets and wonderful atmosphere of Trogir.The hotel looks tiny from outside but the rooms are very cosy,new & bright. We are in our 30's & my mom & friend in their 50's,so all ages will have fun there. The staff were incredible & upgraded us for free to a larger room.Josko was great fun,our rental cars trunk ended up being broken & he waited 3 hours in. all reviews »
We stayed in the apartment - room 1. For the moment we arrived we were taken care of. We were given ice creams,coffee and nothing was any hassle. We even borrowed a beach umbrella. As a family we have travelled alot and I can honestly say the service provided by this team is 5star - exceptional. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel and would most definitely return. Some people have mentioned the bells but really, any where in Croatia you hear the bells at sometime! Didn't stop.
I was leaving at 6am to fly back home. At 11pm, I remembered I wanted to bring my favorite Croatian Napolitano cookies back to the office. But all the stores were closed. I asked the staff if they knew of anywhere I could get the cookies, and they said no, everything is closed. However, the next morning when I came down for breakfast, I saw that the night manager had bought the cookies I was looking for and left them for me to take!

The location of Villa Carrara was excellent, the view from all the windows was on the bell tower and the roofs of the old city. I love the sound of church bells and the very tasteful decor of the hotel and our room.
Very well located in the middle of the historical centre. Rooms are comfortable with en suite bathrooms. Very friendly, helpful manager who took the time to give us tips for places to visit, eat and park car.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially in helping us to sort out an issue with our credit card provider in Australia who would only accept calls during Australian business hours.

We had a hire car and they arranged parking for us. Trogir is a beautiful township, some great restaurants but is very touristy.
the charming old room with antique furniture but a modern bed. noisy location at night but fine if windows were closed and efficient and quiet ac is used.

The parking space was outside the city but they carried both our bags from the car to the hotel, and afterwards back to the car!.

If you're coming by car, you need to leave it in a parking lot out of the historical centre as it's mostly pedestrianised. Not very convenient if you have a lot of luggage (e.g. if you're travelling with kids).
Being so central it could be quiet noisy in the evenings, but that's the price to pay for staying in the centre.

The room was quite noisy,but this was due to the position of the hotel in the centre of the town.Having said that,we chose it because of it's position.
