Excellent location within a 10 minute walk to the walls of the palace and the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Newly renovated suite with updated bathroom and kitchen. Very comfortable bed and pull out couch. AC worked very well and kept room cool. Easy walk from ferry dock or quick taxi ride. all reviews » The best feature of Villa Kate is its location - minutes of walk from Diocletian's Palace, the markets, supermarkets and the Riva Promenade. It's well placed to join day tours and return to cool down in the air-conditioned sitting room before heading out to enjoy an evening stroll. We also liked the kitchenette and the power shower. The owners were very friendly and helpful. I am glad I asked them to book a taxi to meet us at the airport as we would never have found the place by ourselves! Over. The owners were so nice so glad and so helpfull. The place itself was very tide up, so clean, so comfortable, so close to the Dioclecian appartments, thus so near to the center, to great pizza on the corner nearby the fontain, so close to the see, so close to get to feel like in paradise, always meeting surprising details...and from the lovely place you spent your overnights, just metres to get into the ancient world that started to live out of Dioman amazing appartments... Excellent communication with owner Mirela. Organised for us to be picked up from airport by her brother who was very helpful. Would have been very hard to find without local knowledge. We are a couple in our late fifties, and were travelling with my mother in law in her late seventies. Location was fantastic, despite the steep access, was so close to the centre of Split, and she managed the steps. Was very quiet even though our rooms faced a very busy walking access. We were very happy with the location. As many have said before Villa Kate is close to restaurants, bus and boat terminals, the old town and much more and as we didn't have a vehicle this was perfect. There were plenty of supermarkets, even a laundromat within easy reach. Check in was easy and the apartment was very comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend. This apartment was very well laid out with lots of space and spotlessly clean. The owner was exceptional at responding to email questions and although our plane was very delayed and we arrived late at night, she had already rung the airport, rearranged the driver and met us there as promised. Good location close to the Riva and Palace walls. Convenient location, although not easy to find at first. Good working WiFi. I booked the 2 bedroomed apartment because we're 2 couples in the group. It was rather disappointing that one of the double beds was set up in the living area. The smaller bedroom has a single bed but is large enough for a double. Also air-conditioning is only in the living area so it could be very hot in the bedrooms in summer. Villa Kate was very dark, with no outlook. Only criticism was the shower rose was in a funny position and when in the bath the taps stuck out in the middle of the bath. All rather awkward. The apartment is in a local neighbourhood which we found charming but some may find noisy with early morning motorbikes and children playing right outside your bedroom window. Nothing. Nothing really, we all liked it very much and definitely would recommend it to others. It had no oven, but we just went and ate in all the awesome restaurants in short walking distance. Parking is a challenge but possible. I can't think of any issues. It's extremely hard to park there. Was on the ground floor and main bedroom faced the street, so some sound from the occassional late night revellers. No answer for this box?. No negative comments. The location, its a bit ghetto. Felt a little unsafe walking to the apartment at night. Parking can be difficult. Difficult to park a large vehicle, but we did manage. One bedroom has a queen bed, one a twin. The couch folds out. not easy to find. If you're driving, take care that the free public parking indicated by the owners is in fact a very narrow street, with low probability to find a parking space. There is a bigger parking in the neighbourhood but also crowded, at least when we were there; if you park in a paid parking, it is pretty safe, but the price will be high (approx. 1€/H, day and night).
