This was a great hotel. Very modern with good facilities and friendly, helpful staff. The room we had was very clean, in fact the whole hotel was spotless, and a good size with great shower room and good size balcony with table and 2 chairs. The bed was very comfortable. The facilities in the hotel were also very good. A very good a la carte restaurant (it also had a buffet restaurant but we didn't try it apart from breakfast which was good), a comfortable bar and plenty of outside seating for .
all reviews » Architecturally and as measured by position views etc. this is a gem. In the case of the experience at the hotel we were not let down. Staff were excellent, always helpful and friendly. Facilities were great; wonderful outdoor pool with towels provided and poolside service . Excellent breakfasts individually made if required. A lovely walk along the waterfront took you to the old town in about 40 minutes or taxi from the hotel for 56 Kunar (£8 €7). Connections from the airport arranged by the h. Weather was pretty terrible when we were there but I have to say the hotel made up for it in so many ways. We were offered a room upgrade I arrival plus there is a great indoor pool and spa which sadly we spent more time at than the pool outside! The breakfast is incredible and the food in the restaurant outstanding. All staff were super friendly and helpful but also full of personality as well. I would highly recommend this hotel for all the above reasons. The only slight downside is you reall. We had a little confusion with reservation, and staff took care of it so nice and professional way. We were upgraded to Deluxe room. Room was very style, modern and marvelous with own big terrace. Also great prices! Very good beach and hotels own terrace below the hotel. I miss Adriatic sea already!. The staff at the Radisson Blu were very welcoming. We were given a free upgrade to a premium double room to celebrate our honeymoon and some extra decoration was given to the room as well. The hotel was brilliantly clean and very well staffed. All of the staff that we encountered were quick to help and offer advise. Reception staff advised walking routes to town and organised taxis for us. The onsite restaurants and bars were really nice and the food / drink were of a high quality. Away from the busy downtown yet a short taxi ride about $20.00 to go downtown. The Chef in the kitchen went out of his way to make us a Fish Dinner that was not on the menu. Our room was up graded to a Suite with no extra cost and more importatly we never asked for this--thank you for that kind service. Enjoyed the beach-- Recommend that you bring Water Shoes as the beaches in Croatia are mostly all stone beaches--not sand. Relaxing atmosphere with beatiful sea views from the room, and from the eating and pool areas. Excellent buffet breakfast, and a fine choice of evening meals served outside overlooking the sea to the islands making it a perfect setting. During our stay, it wasn't too busy, which made the hotel feel spacious and quiet. We hired a car which made it easy to get in and out of split centre and harbour. 10 minute drive. The hotel is very 'designer' and looks something out of a Movie set. The hotel is very comfortable and has it's own beach and a swimming pool with all the facilities... Bar, Cafe, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful and my wife and I would definitely go back. As the name suggests, this hotel is designed for your every need so you stay just with them. If you want a resort hotel this would be good. Location was peaceful with lovely sea views. Rommel was a little small but had all the usual amenities. Staff very friendly and attentive. Pool was pleasant with good service. Breakfasts were filling but the buffet dinners were so so. Restaurant food at the resort was better. This is being a bit picky but the tea and coffee sachets in the room are not automatically replenished. You have to ring reception who arrange to have some sent to your room. If you want to be close to the Old Town, you could walk, but a taxi might be adviseable. Some Things start to close down around the begtinning of October. Bathroom could have been a little bigger. But this was only a minor point. If you want to visit Split it is a taxi ride as the hotel is about 15 minutes ride from the town. Swimming pool could have been a little warmer (or even just in the area) - you really need dressing gowns and towels when you come out. Eggs at breakfast were cold :( Room service food should be a bit cheaper (100kn for beef burger, 75 for cold chicken salad!?) Plus you charge 35kn to have room service delivery. Doesn't reflect it's regional locality in any way. Had a bit of an incident with the door safety lock, of a rather unforgiving design and placed at the right height to do most damage to a child's forehead when they are struggling to open this rather heavy door. Also, one extra door in the room would have been helpful to give some privacy, given that the room we booked was to accommodate four adults. Food was fair and service at dinner was awful!. Mini bar was confusing - one or two items were left out on the tea tray and we presumed they were complimentary - they were not!. you need a car to get almost anywhere. dirty balcony windows (only thing wrong!). Location is a bit far from Split-Downtown (historic center). Surrounding neighborhood is not very celubrious, although we always felt safe. too far away from split old town a good 45 minute walk,not good in 96f heat.hotel, although on the coast is surrounded by residential areas & not geared for tourists. nowhere to eat locally apart form the hotel. Room are small. Locality in relation to the city. Unfortunately the jacuzzi and indoor pool was closed but the other facilities were fantastic. i really enjoyed the VIP area on the beach. Has no shuttle service into the town, taxi got costly after a week - twice a day. every day same choice food for breakfast. could'nt find anything. Nothing!. Nothing to mention, maybe the construction site near hotel... Bathrooms are very nice, but need locks, especially for child saftey. Big hotel with many conferences and tour bus using the facilities. Nothing. Cost is the only thing. one day there was a bad smell in sauna area, but during a day they fixed it. The room was a little too sparse and modern for my taste (opaque glass walls in toilet???). Hotel isn't near city center, and it doesn't have it's own beach. The water in the swimming pool was cold. A little far out from the old town which is the best place to visit for a meal in the evenings. Bus costs 13 kuna each way and takes about 15 mins. Pice a bit high. The excellent staff were let down by a few very rude people.
