Slavin was helpful & informative about Motovun and the surrounding area - and full of apologies for restrictions on parking due to the new Mayor. Breakfast buffet included the usual suspects - with the addition of the nicest dark (rye?) bread we encountered on our travel - I loved it all: Motovun as one of the most beautiful medieval cities I've seen in my life, if not the most beautiful, the host Slaven who's offering his finest grappa all the time (go for 'figue' if he's got some), the other hostess Jana, the hotel/guesthouse itself located at the best location in Motovun, the terrace which guests can sit on in the sun enjoying the view of the surrounding hills, of the sun setting and going down. Too much to mention for the two days we've stayed...

  The appartement was totally renovated. It is well equipped, it has even a DVD player. The owner furnished it very carefully. It is located in the center. Good to know, that tourists are not allowed to go into the old town by car.   The room and the host family are wonderful. Out of 10 places we stayed in Slovenia and Croatia this was the best. The view from the balcony is unbelievable. A guy sailed by our balcony in a para glider when we first arrived. The host met us at their restaurant led us to our parking helped us with our luggage and settled us into the room. Lorena and her family are just great people. - The host were so nice and friendly. Very hospitable. They bought is a round of drinks at their little cafe to welcome us. Also have great recommendation for tasty local food. Great view and very clean and comfortable room. Felt like home. What's more they gave us a bottle of local wine as a farewell gift. I would highly recommend staying here.
