We booked this hotel the night before when we had to return to Split and wish we had seen it on our earlier trip. Lovely hotel with a cafe and restaurant attached. The restaurant next door was also great value for money and has been voted the best in Split. We enjoyed the night we had here, the rooms were clean and balconies giving great view across the bay. Bathroom was well appointed and spacious. We would stay here again.
all reviews » We enjoyed the view from our balcony and from the breakfast room. There is a small beach in front of the hotel. The english breakfast was good. The room was clean and comfortable. Good when you are traveling along the coast and have a car to visit Split and other beaches, having free parking in a quiet zone. I recommend Kastel Kambelovac to everyone. even though it's quite far away from Split, it's got Perfect location on the seaside (only 50 m to the cosy Beach). I loved Big and delicious breakfast buffet and Spacious,clean room with a balcony and sea view:). Spacious clean room and bathroom with lovely balcony, pity not sea view. Breakfast sufficient. Lovely lively little centre. Ok for a stopover but not for longer. Very helpful staff.....good breakfast....right next to a small quiet beach. We took a sea facing room so could see the lights of Split twinkling at night !. The restaurant near the hotel is open 'till late. Even with gps you might lost the exit from the main road. The table in the balcony was old. Poor transportation - It takes around 25 min to Trogir and 35 min to Split by local bus. The young girl on our arrival was very unfriendly and remained like that for the 2 days we stayed, pity.. Access to the hotel was confusing....for some reason the GPS took us to the restaurant of the same name.....we had to go around and get to the hotel from the other side. Also, if the sea facing balcony had glass or a railing instead of a solid wall it would be possible to see the view while sitting without having to stand. Not easy to find. It was too hot at last level on the stairs. If you don't have a car, need to take bus 9 then bus 37 or 38 to hotel. Ants in the room which is the sole thing to prohibit a "Good" rating for the cleaness of the room.
