The room we've booked is located in a big house just outside the city walls. It's a few minutes walk but worth it because it's very quiet. The terrace is really beautiful, you can relax, have a glass of wine and look at the beautiful Old town right in front of you. Everything was excatly as one the web page. The room was very clean and bright, and the host was very pleasant. We showed us arround and recommended a few interesting things to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and we would recommend.
all reviews » Could not believe how close it was to old town. We didn't want to drive while visiting the old town. Parking was reserved for us as asked, as well as a playpen for our 9 month old. The view from our room was spectacular. Ana, the owner was nice and helpful. Apartment was clean and practical. Remember to look for 'NO.2 apartment' sign off the main road and go up 10 steps, first door on right. Ana and her husband were very helpful and kind with their assistance in settling in with our baggage. Car spacing was arranged by them which was appreciated. Location was superb with the old town only 100 meters from our accomodation. Bakery and Supermarket were close by. We would recommend but please keep in mind that this is not a hotel, and is a room in a private house. No meals provided. The family was so friendly and helpful with recommending places to visit while in Dubrovnik. The location could not have been better. You are just steps from the west gate entrance and they offer parking if you reserve it ahead of time. We were lucky to have the room with the patio that overlooked the harbor and parts of the Old Town wall. Great location-just outside the city walls, spectacular view...the terrace is great. You can sit there and relax while looking at the Old town. Wonderfull...The room was very clean, the host provided us everything we asked for and more...valuable information about restaurants and excursions. I would definitely recommend it. The Landlady was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, right beside the centre of the old town and less than a 10 minute walk from the beach. The price was very good and the room was spotless and had a great balcony with a view over Dubrovnik's old town. Will defiantly stay there again. Booked here for one night to see old city of Dubrovnik excellent location the lady of the house Anna was so helpful as we had rented car she let us use the garage and told us where to go for beautiful meal would really recommend it to anybody Tina & Michael Dublin Ireland Sept 2013 :). Ana (the owner) was extremely helpful. She organised a someone to pick us up from airport and also take us to the bus station. Also made phone calls the ensure everything was OK for the trips we had organised, even going as far as walking with us to one of the places. Thank you Ana. It's close to the Old town, just a few minutes walk but it's very quiet so you can sleep at night. The room was very clean and comfortable. The view is beautiful and the host was very nice. What more do you need? I would love to come back one day but for leisure. After confirming our booking we received an email from Anna to welvome us and explaining how to get there . Her son found us and helped with luggage . Anna was wonderfully host and made our stay very enjoyable . No breakfast but bakery was 2 doors away . Friendly and helpful owner, even had her husband move their car for us to park for free, with their son backing our car in. Location is just up the road above the entrance to the city walls. Great rate too, supermarket and bakery down the road. The warm welcome we received from Anna Kosuta (she offered us breakfast twice). And her husband who took his car out so that we could put ours in the garage! It felt like staying with family. The proximity of old Dubrovnik - a short walk. It was very beautiful, we spent at Villa kosuta most pleasant stay in the pleasant! Regarding the condition was very good, the staff was welcoming one, we had every comfort! I recommend everyone to go to Villa Kosuta!. The location is fabulous just 200-300 meters from one of Dubrovnic old town gates. Very nice and helpful owner. Good room with small kitchnette. Very close by 2 bakeries, mini-market and launderette. Terrific location, overlooking the walls of the Fortress - 3 minutes to the entrance of the Old City. Ana was like a family friend - it is a good sign when you hug the owner on leaving!. Villa Kosuta is located in a excellent location - a 2 minute walk from the old city. Ana is extremely helpful. Marvoulos overlook over city and sea from the balcony. Very recomendable. Perfect location, it is just 2 min from the old town. The rooms are very simply equipped and cover basic needs. You pay more or less for the location here. There is not a thing I didn't like. The location is really good and cheap. The view is great, and the room was clean. Tip - immediately stop at the Fire Station and look for a sign " rooms No.2 " The street is a narrow alley way only. Only 1 thing, a little difficult to find, as the apartments aren't listed by name. It is across the road from the Fire Station, identified by "chambers / zimmer / rooms" and number 2. There are lots of places with "rooms" signs. Go up the little corridor at #2 and knock on the first white door. Finding the place - even with a map of Dubrovnik. We told Anna that she should mention its location just before the fire station on the left. Some small details in shower need improvement, like shel for soap in shower. The prize, too expensive for one night!!. -Kitchen facilities weren't as good as expected in the room. Some cutlery was missing and there were no kettles, pans etc. Those needed to be asked separately. Sharing the one terrace with another apartment full of noisy youngsters. It was not easy to find as we did not have a gps. Since the house is near the main road , could hear the noise at night. It's a little bit outdated but still ok. Especially for the price. Got different rooms than those we booked in advance. No terrace. The equipment in kitchen was poor. Room quality to be improved (top floor - under roof room). The room we had. It was nothing like the one in the photo. it looked shabby, mainly because of the décor/pictures on walls and shiny polyester bedcover. This room was ground floor looking onto the passageway - other rooms could be better. During our trip we had much better apartments which were cheaper. that we didn't get the room we have ordered from the firts nigth. The place was very run down, cramped and absolutely full of mosquitoes. If you want location only, then stay here. If you want any shred of comfort, find somewhere else. Beds uncomfortable Shower small and leaked into bathroom. After needing to reduce our reservations by 1 night (done within the timeframe) our rooms were changed from upper story with a view of the Adriatic and Old Town to ground floor accommodations. Anna (innkeeper) refused to reduce the per night rate for the inferior rooms. Innkeeper is a smoker so lobby area smelled of stale smoke. Room not as described / shown on website...very misleading Bed only ok for people less than 5 feet 8 inches (176 cms)... Plus a really annoying wooden edge.. The room we got was different as the one we booked. owner said it was because all rooms have the same description and images. Rooms need to be renewed, everything very old and seems to be dirty. bath courtins were black... relationship quality and price is not worth (too expensive). A little bit expensive for the condition of the room. We book room with teracce. That teracce was no privat! You sheared small teracce with other room, and view for teracce is only beton or other room... That other room have kitchen in teracce.. place was full of mosquitoes. too expensive. The power went off at 22:00 and did not return at all the rest of the night. It was not the owners fault, but it was inconvenient and it was uncomfortable without air conditioning. It was dirty, with old and broken furniture. The blankets were not washed probably since they were bought. I was afraid to open the refrigerator, as even with close door it smelled pretty bad.
