Breakfast was included in the room rate and was very substantial with a cooked breakfast available daily. Air conditioning was VERY efficient, and needed, as the temp in Dubrovnik soared to 34 degrees! I would certainly stay at the Berkeley again when returning to Dubrovnik.The hotel is only 1 yr old and it shows. The physical condition isexcellent, the staff could not do enough for us. The food was excellent,the room and mattress are very comfortable, the hotel is very clean andwell maintained throughout. The Service we received from the Mgn't,Breakfast staff, Front Desk and Airport Driver were top notch. One ofthe best accommodations I have experienced!. We have stayed in Dubrovnik before and can say that this is by far the best hotel in it's price range in town. It is only 5 mins by bus from the old town, everything is new, the rooms are large and the air conditioning really works which is vital in the summer in croatia. Would not consider staying anywhere else if we ever find ourselves in Dubrovnik again.The personel go out of their way to make your trip a special one! The rooms are clean and well appointed. The fresh cooked breakfast on order. The secured covered parking garage under the hotel is a real plus. With local transportion you can easily reach all attractions and if necessary the hotel will drop you off with their van. The hotel is close to the ferry terminal and just across from the bus stop into town. A piece of advice for others who arrive by ferry - the hotel is literally a two minute walk from the terminal. It's immediately behind the Hotel Petka. We could have saved £6 on an unnecessary taxi fare.The hotel was new, clean and very nice. The staff was most helpful. The breakfast buffet had a very large selection, in addition to the option of ordering off the menu. It was also convenient to the Jardolinja ferry service. We would recommend this hotel. Room at front of the hotel very noisy from constant traffic. Therefore, made limited use of the balcony which would otherwise have been a pleasure as it was a good size.

Located in Gruz harbor, we are in the most accessible and easily connected area in Dubrovnik.

During spring and summer spend your days lazing on a beach, or on the deck of a luxurious boat, dipping in the clear waters to cool off. The more adventurous amongst you can go diving off the surrounding coast and islands.

During the cooler months, apart from allowing you to visit the Old Town and galleries without the summer crowds, special Christmas and New Year celebrations and the Feast of St.Blaise (Patron saint of Dubrovnik) show a different side of Dubrovnik. While sailing and fishing excursions offer those lovers of the sea the chance to relax or test their fishing skills.

To escape the city beaches, explore the surrounding islands of Lokrum, Lopud, Šipan and Kalamota. Local ferry services for the islands leave every hour from Gruz harbour (a 5 minute walk from hotel).
