friendly, helpful staff; nicely decorated room; toiletries, wifi, breakfast, cleaniness all great. Complimentary bottled water a very good touch to make my stay just that little bit more comfortable. Good water pressure in the shower and consistant water temperature which was important to me. Room size a little on the small side for the type of room I chose. The building is an architectual gem, soviet architecture at its finest. Beautiful Lobby. Friendly (perfectly english speaking) staff. Great location in the heart of the city, with public transport close by. Nice breakfast, served at a restaurant with beautiful view over "artillery bay". Restaurant itself serves amazing food too!.
all reviews » The location is excellent. The hotel staff were superlative, particularly Natalia the receptionist and the two men at the bar; Slava and Artem. The spa is really good for a three star hotel. Generally we had very homely and warm feelings during our stay at the hotel. Not being informed that May Day was a major event and that, therefore, the road in front of the hotel would be closed so we could not leave the area by car. For all its comforts the toilet in the bathroom had no space to sit especially with the big toilet role next to it. Frankly speaking, this is bizarre. I did not have any complaints, but one should remember that it is not a 5 star hotel. Showers are very very small. Many times no hot water. I thought the mattress could have been a little softer. small rooms. the room service could have been a little more attentive. Nothing. nothing. Rooms fairly small But moreover staff unable to give a piece of advise (good restaurant in town) or asking me to book my restaurant myself giving me their phone number.
