An excellent guesthouse (mind you it is not a hotel) next to the Khan Palace. The owners are excellent hosts. They are on territory and very friendly. They have excellent knowledge of the local area like what to see, eat, do and more like areas (mountain treks, caves, etc) and settlements nearby. I, wife and son enjoyed the hospitality. Stayed in a 3 bedroom room, Aug 2 to Aug 5 2013 You have free WiFi, small kitchen (getting groceries is somewhat a challenge as the city closes around 9pm), lau.
all reviews » The staff at the Meraba Guest House were superb. All except one spoke flawless English and they were very willing to answer questions and provide suggestions for places to eat and how to get places. Utilizing their business center, we were even able to get some important items printed from our computer. Wifi worked very well and there were English language channels available on the satellite TV. The room was comfortable and WARM--they ensured the heat was on since we stayed there during an. The owner gave us at any time and for all touristic questions very helpful information, not only about the region around Bakhchysaray but also about the whole Krim region. Absolutely great ! We enjoyed sitting in one of the divans in the garden. We were very pkeased about hie correctness and service-oriented behavior. This was a wonderful guest house! The proprietor was friendly and helpful with things to do and places to eat and my room was clean, comfortable and had a lovely balcony. I would highly recommend Meraba to anyone going to Bakhchysarai!. Great location in old town. Just a few minutes walk from everything in town. Great young staff. Balcony and 'besedka' offer variety for spending time with friends. Had a great time in Bakhchysaray. An island of Occidentalism in a Slavic sea. Owners were friendly and spoke English. Staff Location. Location is difficult to find and we had to take a cab from the bus station which is several kilometers away. However, to their credit, they do have a couple of signs posted which help. A little difficult to find the location. The access road quite messy. Hard to find if you don't see the sign. Very difficult to find from the south west of the town as there seem to be no road signs to the Khans' Palace.this is not the fault of the guest house but more detailed directions would help the traveller in a town where driving is very difficult. We were in unit #1 and the beds were VERY hard and lumpy. I hardly slept and at 6:00 am the dogs started barking so we left. They had sheer drapes on the large window,so there was no privacy. I would not reccommend this guest house. Very noisy Room had no furniture.
